When you get a 3-star clear, it will unlock the button above the start button on the mission overview. You can set it up to 10 quick clears at a time. Skips everything and just gives you the drops

If you do it from the stat grid, it will show you the count of the item you're trying for

I don't know if there's a downside to it but it's certainly quicker than going through the animations even on 2x one attempt at a time

Here's my main team in ReLIVE so far, having completed the first two story chapters and then done a bunch of grinding:



Sometimes I'll take out either Futaba or Junna and only run 4 characters in this team, letting me throw an extra 6-point memoir on Yuyuko or Lalafin. As for my other team...



It's my just Karen team that I mentioned earlier. I got my hands on all 3 rarities of her (2, 3, and 4 stars), put them all together, and then ranked the lower ones up to 4 stars to match the highest one. From what I can tell, any unit in the game can be ranked up to the maximum of 6 stars with enough effort and grinding. Those that started out at a higher rarity will still have higher stats in the end, even if all units are the same rarity, but they'll also still cost more points towards your limit to put on the team.

So I FINALLY pulled one of the Muspell characters in Fire Emblem Heroes. I pulled the tsundere sister, which was actually the one I least wanted out of the three... but at least I got one of them after using every orb I got for 28 days on this banner while ignoring all of the other great banners that have come out since.

I wasn't a fan of the gameplay, and the character designs didn't really look good to me either. If the mobage isn't from an established IP that I already liked, it has to really impress me to keep me playing. Dragalia Lost just didn't.

Apparently the whole Belgium lootbox thing is starting to affect gachas. DBZ Dokkan Battle has made it so Belgium players can't purchase premium currency with real money now.

I certainly wouldn't mind if gatchas got replaced by a buy-what-you-want system. Sort of like in Warframe. Though you'd have to wonder how many games that would kill off. Whales keep a lot of these games alive and without them they might not be able to stay afloat.

I just tried to imagine a redesigned fate grand order with not crap gacha rates as a consequence of antilootbox/antigacha stuff gaining ground, and brain.exe stopped working. I cannot even imagine such a thing.

It would have to be a system where there's a character store where ALL characters that have been released are buyable with a secondary currency (let's call them "credits" for now), and you get those credits either as rewards for certain missions/events or by sending home characters you don't want

Rarer characters would obviously cost more credits, and even seasonal units whose events have expired would need to be buyable, but obviously they would be the most expensive to emphasize their time-limited nature. Spending real money on the main summoning currency (orbs, quartz, gems, whatever) gives you more chances to get the character you want through normal summoning, and the duplicates you pull as a result would in turn let you accumulate credits faster, which some players would be willing to do.

But the important part of a system like this is that spending money would never be the difference between getting a character and never getting them at all. The chance that you'll never get exactly what you want, no matter what you do, is part of what I consider to be gambling and part of the problem with most lootbox/gacha games. But if there's always an alternative way to get what you want without dealing with the RNG or spending money, then IMO there's no problem.

Of course, using a system like this only works if the credits are attainable at a realistic rate. Some games, like Battlefront 2 and Overwatch, price the items so high or throttle the earning rate so badly that it's not realistic to try and save up for a very expensive item. But some games, like the more recent Call of Duty games, have a (surprisingly) generous earning rate for their credits, which makes saving up for multiple expensive items realistic. Yeah... you know there's a problem with the industry when Activi$ion of all companies has one of the most player-friendly lootbox systems in place. But that's why changes needed to be made.

There are ways to have a lootbox/gacha system in place, while also keeping it player-friendly and making money off of it. The problem comes when the developers want to make more money, when they want to make boatloads of money instead of just truckloads, and are willing to piss off their player base to do so. That's how we get situations like Battlefront 2, and those situations are why the lootbox law was put into effect. The companies that got too greedy are getting burned because of it.

Most of my mobile time is still on Fire Emblem Heroes and Girls Frontline. I also play the Japanese-only Precure Connection Puzzlun, but the gacha isn't as important in that game because you only use one Precure at a time, and you can theoretically beat the entire story using the same character the whole way through if she's strong enough.

We already have infantry (Girls Frontline) and naval (Kancolle and Azur Lane) combat covered, now we just need anime girl versions of fighter planes/pilots and we basically have the whole military represented. The closest we've had to this in anime is Strike Witches, and with all the side stories they've had in novels and other non-anime material, the World Witches series totally has enough characters for a great mobile game. Make it happen, Japan!

My experience to the game is pretty limited(CBT and like 4 hours of Japanese version) so I can't really comment on how useful particular ships are. As for ranking up, you use duplicate copies of ships to do it. It starts at 1 duplicate for a rank up but at higher ranks you need multiple copies to rank up. There are also substitution ships you can use so you don't have to always use duplicates.

To anyone who's played the CN/JP versions of Azur Lane before, I do have some questions: how does the rarity system work? On all of these, I see 1/2/3 stars filled and 3 unfilled... does this mean they can be ranked up (like in Fire Emblem Heroes) to an extent? Is rarity a fairly clear indicator of whether a girl is useful or not (like in Fate Grand Order) or are there plenty of good ones in the lower rarities (like in Girls Frontline) as well?

In Azur Lane you get ships via building them using a resource that is decently easy to come by. There isn't just like 1 giant gacha pool but a few pools separated by ship type. The easiest way to get Unicorn is to just spam building "Light(as in small)" ships. Unicorn is pretty easy to get. Not that rare.

Sounds similar to Girls Frontline's resource system. I originally wasn't considering getting into Azur Lane due to how many mobile games I'm playing already, plus I'm not a big fan of the character designs I've seen. However, If it's anywhere close to as forgiving and easy to get into as GFL is, I might reconsider and give it a chance.
