Honkai Star Rail servers are up, and I'm in the middle of "downloading resources" now. I started half an hour ago and the bar is only at 35%, so... yeah... this is going to take a while. In the meantime, I'm going to read these to prepare:

I think I'll just take whatever opening roll the game gives me and go with it. Most of the characters that caught my interest were either low-rarity characters or characters that won't be in the game at launch anyways, and I didn't see any that I like so much that I feel like I need to re-roll for them.

They didn't feel like doing the sword fight. So they found a quicker way for Indiana Jones to resolve the situation

I know, I've heard the story. I've heard that Harrison Ford was suffering from a stomach problem that day and couldn't do the fight, so they improvised the "why don't I just shoot him" gag/scene the day of the filming and it turned out to be one of the most iconic scenes of the whole movie.

Yeah, shit really hit the fan in those last two episodes. All I want is for Suletta/Miorine to be together in the end and for GuelBob to be happy. Also, how were the English dub voices? I've been watching it subbed (like I do for most original anime so I can stay in the online discussions) but I'll probably re-watch it with the dub once it's finished. I know my favorite English VA is voicing Chuchu, so that'll be a lot of fun.

Saw a Sky Strikers list on Master Duel Meta, which I think is funny as shit. Might try it, though I'm skeptical of how well it would perform without Raye/Roze and with only Linkage and a single Hornets as your play starters. >_>

I liked One Punch Man, I didn't like My Hero Academia, and I've had Samurai Flamenco on my radar for a bit but haven't watched it yet.

I always preferred magical girls over the standard western-style heroes though, so I'd much rather watch Pretty Cure over any of these.

Btw the only reason the EoS happened now was that they ran out of the 2nd format's card pool, which meant to implement the 3rd format, they would need to rehaul the game very extensively. Also, in Zero, because they're playing by a different set of rules that failed to actually simplify the game length-wise, instead gameplay dimension-wise, there is no way to neatly implement the gift system that the 3rd game is very heavily based on, with a very incompetent team to boot

Don't know if they're going to televise it in any way, but for a few weeks in summer, the Vegas show Destruct-o-thon is going to rebrand as Proving Grounds, where new builders will get to audition for the next tournament going against actual bots and teams, not just the "showbot" pinch-hitters

As much as I adore this franchise, it's absolutely baffling to me how Revue Starlight ReLive managed to survive to its global 4th anniversary. The fact that Bushiroad just announced EoS for Cardfight Vanguard Zero (which has been around for 1 less year and I thought was doing better than this game) makes me think Revue's shutdown might be coming soon too. But I already feel like I've been playing this game on borrowed time anyways, and I'll keep playing it until the day the curtain falls on this stage for the final time.

Outlaw Star and Trigun are both great (also consider Trigun's new reboot) but I liked Outlaw Star better. Haven't seen the others mentioned, but I've had Stein's Gate on my radar and heard a lot of great things about it.

Fair enough. The main problem I had with Vrains while it was airing was that it was boring and Playmaker was a boring protagonist, so maybe the dub's added comedy might help make it better. Or at least take it into "so bad it's funny" territory.

I saw this earlier and gave him the benefit of the doubt because I thought he initially almost botched and fell off the first set of ropes, then saved face by showing off that he can jump on the ropes like he did to the crowd, but yeah, it all looks stupid.

That's what I thought too. It looked to me like he messed up the take off of what was supposed to be the original move and then improvised it into something else. But then he did about 4 rope bounces too many and it stopped making sense.

Just surrendered against a Marincess because I cannot out Bubble Reef and to top it off, they made Battle Ocean indestructible via Sleepy Maiden.

That's the gameplan of Marincess. We try to make a big stupid tower protected by Battle Ocean and Marincess Wave, and sometimes if we're lucky we get Battle Ocean protected by Sleepy Maiden too. The plan pretty much lives and dies by Battle Ocean though, both in it staying on the field and in the opponent wasting removal on the big stupid tower by not reading it.

I'm pretty sure has been announced yet. They might have taped some sort of summer series at the same taping session like they did last year with the Golden Bolt tournament, but we don't know yet, and I'm pretty sure anyone who does know would be under a NDA.

Mammoth controlled Kraken to a win and Glitch had more mobility issues so Valkyrie took it down. Two "meh" fights, and I really think Glitch need to go back to the drawing board. Their bot is plagued with mobility issues at this point.

One more preemptive FUCK RIPTIDE before the main event.

Starchild vs. Huge was as ridiculous as I expected with Huge absolutely mauling Starchild to finish 4-0 on the season, and unfortunately Ominous vs. Shatter was just "meh". I'm happy for for Shatter for getting a win to avoid going winless, but I'm not sure they make the tournament.

Black Dragon has never once been knocked out in any of its 24 official fights, one shy of tying the legendary Bite Force for the longest streak in BattleBots history. Can Riptide be the bot to end the streak and put it down for the count? We'll find out tonight. But u can't destroy it with cards effects. Did they have megamorph or something?

It can't be destroyed or targeted by card effects, which is nice protection because a lot of removal cards do at least one of those. But there are still plenty of ways to banish it (such as with Kozmojo), return it to the hand (such as with Storming Mirror Force), send it to the GY (such as with Ningirsu the World Chalice Warrior), tribute it (such as for Lava Golem or any Kaiju), or negate its effect (such as with Forbidden Droplet) that get around that protection. Or, of course, you could also destroy it in battle, and the easiest and most generic option to do that is Mekk-Knight Crusadia Avramax.

The 4 attribute event has officially started, providing us with a temporary safe haven away from Tearlaments.

What kind of Ritual deck that great against meta right now?

There's no such thing. The only ritual-focused deck that's even remotely close to being meta is Drytrons, and they currently get bodied by Tearlaments just as badly as most other decks out there right now. Blue-Eyes decks also have a big stupid powerful ritual monster that they use (Blue-Eyes Chaos Max Dragon) but they're even less viable than Drytrons.

If you want to play a deck like Blue-Eyes, either stay in Gold ranks in Master Duel and don't go into Platinum, or don't play MD and go buy Yu-Gi-Oh Legacy Of The Duelist instead.

There seems to be so much buzz on these tearmen archetypes. Is it that strong?

Yes, Tearlaments are that strong. The deck is so strong that the only ways to reliably beat it are to either use it yourself or build a deck specifically to counter it like Exosisters or Floowandereeze, and even the decks built specifically to counter it still lose more often than they win. The deck is so strong that it's led to nearly a dozen different cards from the deck getting limited to 1 or banned entirely, and it's arguably still viable even after those hits. The deck is so strong that when Japan held a "no banlist" tournament where every banned and limited card was allowed to be used at 3, Tearlaments still won while using far fewer banned cards than other decks most were using.

It is, without a doubt, the strongest deck that has ever been created in this game. EDIT: Wait, maybe full power Zoodiacs might be close to it in power. Okay, it's without a doubt one of the top 3 strongest decks that has ever been created in this game.
