If not, you may want to go back to your old position, because what's more valuable: Money or happiness? This is your decision, though. Only you know what your financial picture looks like, what kind of jobs you can apply for (and which you can get), and whether you can find a way to get through this. Really sorry it's happening to you. I know you'll get through it just fine!

Well, I'm glad Randen is okay, but it's dumb he got medivaced instead of just getting pulled temporarily for the MRI. One of the few things Australian Survivor does better.

The 24-hour rule makes sense when it doesn't involve missing Tribal. When the person misses Tribal... that's the gray area. Randen wasn't going to miss Tribal so he should have absolutely been given that 24 hours out of the game. Would've made for a more exciting episode, both this week and next. Since he wouldn't have returned until the next episode.

Australian Survivor does a few other things better, like challenge variety/originality, casting diverse personalities, and the host not also being the Game Master. JLP doesn't do much Jeffing accordingly. I haven't started Titans/Rebels yet (vacation, etc.) but AU HvV had a MASSIVE improvement in editing (an area that frequently made AU inferior for years) and wasn't as overrun by dumb twists (though there were still a couple).

This sucks. This whole episode was pointless and Yanu gets spared after literally losing an immunity challenge. I thought it sucked when Matthew got evaced and Yam Yam/Carolyn/Josh were spared too.

Yeah, it's stupid that they don't just make this the double boot.

I'm not gonna lie...I kinda want Bhanu to go here. He's crazy, but I'm fine with only getting three episodes of him if he's gonna be this messy without driving the narrative forward at all.

I am fine with him lasting another episode or two, but yeah, he's a trainwreck character that is best off not making merge.

Seeing the ad, I also think this season of TAR is gonna be awful. 90 minutes with a COVID-restricted season that they deferred is not going to be good for the show.

Bhanu melting down is epic. And him spilling the tea is exactly why the mean girls excluding him and revealing their hands by saying things like "Tell me your plan. That way I can work around it." is a bad idea. Now Liz and Ben know and can report because Liz was sharp enough to pick the emotional trainwreck that would blab EVERYTHING.

Also why does Bhanu want to "play it safe" here when he HAS to go big or go home? The Shit in the Dark is NOT "playing it safe" at all!

Definitely help fight this so the developer builds something smaller.

There's a place in my area that vehemently opposed a nearly 200-unit apartment complex on a two-lane road that finds itself frequently blocked by wandering fowl (this is not a joke), because that many new residents would cause frequent accidents and traffic jams. The road cannot be expanded due to how the existing residential properties are set up; this complex is going where a crumbling barn was previously. The city deferred this project and asked the developer to come up with a proposal for one with fewer units, due to these residents' safety concerns. There were a few wackos in this group - ones who wanted just townhomes instead, as "that's what's currently there" - but they were the only ones I found unreasonable; I agreed that the project should be smaller for safety purposes.

NIMBYism is more an apprehension to change of any kind. Another area in town was crying "NIMBY! NIMBY! NIMBY!" when they wanted to put two loud military jets at the airport, and when asked where these jets should be instead, they suggested a smaller municipal airport that only handles small planes - no jets, passenger planes, or anything of the sort. That airport would've needed substantial upgrades for that and it would've devalued others' property far more than theirs was devalued, since they already have plane noise, and this just upped the frequency a LITTLE bit. I made fun of these people. There was literally no other reasonable alternative within 50 miles.

You sound more like the former group. You want the scope of the project to be smaller to better fit the area as it is now, instead of doing something that it's not equipped to handle in hopes that it causes more growth that doesn't make logistical sense. Developers often get greedy and lack foresight to the problems that come with what they want to build.

Pretty tough, except for the first one and the last one. In Shield, I benched the Gossifleur I caught when I saw what it evolved into. And Charizard is probably Pokemon's tertiary mascot for a reason (after Pikachu and Eevee; the only other arguable ones are Squirtle, Mewtwo, and Meowth).

I know most of you don't watch Survivor but last season's winner mentioned "evolving into Charizard" for fuck's sake.

I did fulfillment at Target during the COVID and it was brutal on my body. Most of the customers were fine - I never had to deal with anyone completely unreasonable myself, but occasionally overheard one going crazy at Guest Services when I was unloading my cart. The one who acted like it was the end of the world when she couldn't return this $10 summer item after the Labor Day cutoff comes to mind. That was one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen.

Back home now, finally trying to look into buying options for a PS5 (last couple days have been catch-up of two different varieties).

I went ahead and bought a bundle from Target that includes Spider-Man 2 for $451. This includes tax, which is pretty much waived in my area due to RedCard (now called "Circle Card" apparently - it takes 5% off, and then the 5.5% tax is applied to the new total). I'm also buying a new phone because my old one is gonna die very soon given how damn slow it is.

Gonna need to start making some money.

4th to 5th is the correct answer. That leap changed how video games were played like nothing had before. There were so many changes that the leap from 2D to 3D did - graphics, control schemes, level design, you name it.

2nd to 3rd is second. Because while control schemes were similar there, the level design evolved a heck of a lot.
