I know it's a tradition and all, but maybe one year they should try having the selection committee do a good job instead of being a complete joke.

Not really. They let in Michigan State who is only 4 games above .500 ahead of tons of teams better than them. You can only beat who you play.

On second thought, not all that much. Mountain West was way underseeded, the A10 teams were overseeded, and UVA probably shouldn't have been in the field. But yeah, that's actually not too bad compared to some years. I'm just so used to being mad at the selection committee that I overreacted.

Probably because Izzo. As long as Sparty has a winning record, they will always find some way to let MSU in so long as Izzo is coach, because along with Cal and Bill Self, he's one of the few remaining coaches that people all over the country can identify (since Coach K, Roy Williams, Boeheim, and Beilein are all no longer coaching).

We'll see if Purdue shows up to rectify the disaster last year... or if Purdon't comes and loses to a 16-seed again. If they do, Matt Painter should be permanently banned from getting a 1-seed.
