Jeff playing us all by saying "No more villains" before a season full of villains

If Jess survives this...it's fucking INSANE.

Yeah, I'm glad we have people like Jelinsky (an idiot like we haven't seen since Jacob Derwin), Jess (a trainwreck like we haven't seen in years), Kenzie (an ice cold villain), Venus (who's hot, compelling, and drama all at once), Charlie (whose frequent mentions of T-Swift make for an interestingly different one-note character), Bhanu (whose energy belongs on Big Brother, sure, but ) and plenty of others as well. This cast is great and I hope I still feel that way when 47 starts.

(Similarly speaking, I don't have much to say about 45's cast outside of a handful of them, like Emily, Brandon, Dee, Bruce, Kendra, Jake, and Katurah. That's still a pretty good amount of them at least.)

Yanu is such a fucking mess, and I love it.

Even though Jess was the most obvious boot imaginable, and I like her, I'm kinda glad she left. I didn't want an Alecia Holden situation where she sticks around too long and just winds up the lightning rod of hatred for the tribe.

The good thing about Alecia staying around for as long as she did was that it helped us hate the tweedles more and more, so when Aubry and Tai took Scot out it was the most immensely satisfying boot imaginable. The biggest reason she lasted as long as she did was of course Jenny Lanzetti blowing her entire game to bits in less than a day.

Kaoh Rong is such a rollercoaster season for me, because in between those two plot points you have the dehydration massacre at that challenge and that is one of the least fun things to watch Survivor has ever shown. I can see why you love it, Inviso, because the good shit is really good, but for me it's high highs and low lows. The latter also includes the jerks overstaying their welcome, but I guess that made the comeuppance all the more satisfying. And then they had to ruin it by being bitter jurors who couldn't admit they were outplayed; even if I've come to accept that MeeshFitz is a better overall player than Aubry, Aubry still deserved a chance that she didn't get.

This season feels like a Kaoh Rong type of trainwreck. This one has two disaster tribes and a bunch of personalities that aren't gonna get along.

Twelve minutes in and the episode has been purely Bhanu having meltdown after meltdown and just generally being hilariously delusional. I wanna see more from the other tribes...but this is fine too.

I love that they seemed to add wording to Jem's idol note because of the very real possibility that Yanu might just lose every single challenge.

Also, you can't go on Survivor as a guy named Hunter and not expect to get targeted for being too big of an alpha male threat in episode 3.

Yeah, I'm expecting either Randen or Jem to never lose a tribal immunity after they slipped that line in.

If Randen recovers, sitting out here isn't too bad with the new sit out rules.

Jesus Christ, Nami (namely Hunter) is the GOAT of this season.

This season has been the same story in EVERY challenge for three episodes: Nami dominates, Siga pulls out second place, and Yanu gets wrecked.

Even though it sucks to watch one tribe just get decimated like this, seeing the emotions of them having to deal with the constant losses...it's amazing. Bhanu melting down EVERY episode because he's incapable of being anything other than a ball of emotions...I love it.

So that's two people on this journey who don't want the million.

The bolded part is pretty ridiculous given what we know about the guy, but... you may be right. When Q does his exit press, I'm sure at least one of Dalton, Mike Bloom, or Rob will ask him about it.

Bhanu melting down is epic. And him spilling the tea is exactly why the mean girls excluding him and revealing their hands by saying things like "Tell me your plan. That way I can work around it." is a bad idea. Now Liz and Ben know and can report because Liz was sharp enough to pick the emotional trainwreck that would blab EVERYTHING.

Also why does Bhanu want to "play it safe" here when he HAS to go big or go home? The Shit in the Dark is NOT "playing it safe" at all!

I'm not gonna lie...I kinda want Bhanu to go here. He's crazy, but I'm fine with only getting three episodes of him if he's gonna be this messy without driving the narrative forward at all.

Reminder that these puzzles are way harder when you haven't eaten in a week.

I am fine with him lasting another episode or two, but yeah, he's a trainwreck character that is best off not making merge.

Seeing the ad, I also think this season of TAR is gonna be awful. 90 minutes with a COVID-restricted season that they deferred is not going to be good for the show.

Bhanu is such a bad liar about that advantage.

Can't do that now with Bhanu voteless. Tiffany is obviously torn because she's close to both Q and Kenzie. How does Q accomplish this, since Bhanu can't play his Shit in the Dark?

Well, I meant before they knew Bhanu lost his vote. Q was trying to set that up before Bhanu got back.

This sucks. This whole episode was pointless and Yanu gets spared after literally losing an immunity challenge. I thought it sucked when Matthew got evaced and Yam Yam/Carolyn/Josh were spared too.

Yeah, it's stupid that they don't just make this the double boot.

It's also stupid that he can't just transfer the Beware idol to Venus.

It really sucks how they're trying to play "Guy who got medevaced due to potential paralysis" as the bright light in the darkness for Yanu. This just feels gross.

He didn't have the idol yet. It might even be a case of "first person to find the box again gets it". Which is an advantage to Venus if Randen ever showed her where it is.

Ugh, and he wasn't even really injured, and they pulled him all the same.

Well, I'm glad Randen is okay, but it's dumb he got medivaced instead of just getting pulled temporarily for the MRI. One of the few things Australian Survivor does better.

Here's hoping Amazing Race has a solid intro, because Survivor was a BAD lead-in tonight.

The 24-hour rule makes sense when it doesn't involve missing Tribal. When the person misses Tribal... that's the gray area. Randen wasn't going to miss Tribal so he should have absolutely been given that 24 hours out of the game. Would've made for a more exciting episode, both this week and next. Since he wouldn't have returned until the next episode.

Australian Survivor does a few other things better, like challenge variety/originality, casting diverse personalities, and the host not also being the Game Master. JLP doesn't do much Jeffing accordingly. I haven't started Titans/Rebels yet (vacation, etc.) but AU HvV had a MASSIVE improvement in editing (an area that frequently made AU inferior for years) and wasn't as overrun by dumb twists (though there were still a couple).

Are we going to lose the superfan siblings first this season too?

These superfan siblings are FAR worse than Alexandra & Sheridan. Holy shit, how do you Austin Powers your car?

i am surprised at how much i've loved ben so far this season. bhanu was fun but i probably would have been fine with him leaving, still i guess more drama is alright.
