Those were some pitiful sandbag tosses.

I'm generally not one for conspiracy theories but I wonder how much of Randen's ultimately unnecessary medivac was production taking the opportunity to save someone that they saw as better TV.

I didn't know you could do what she did. But it's hilarious nonetheless, AND it gets someone else to think they don't have a vote when they do.

Ugh two challenges in an episode

If they had actual challenge variety, this wouldn't be a complaint. But it's more filler for the sake of filler.

I'm not sure Maria even thinks she lost her vote. The note that said that was on the box.

I feel like, physically, that challenge was less difficult than previous challenges. Everything up until this point had a large physical component of running or swimming a long distance, then having to climb something. This was largely straightforward, with rowing, then a completely individual section (which, to be fair, Yanu's remaining four SEEM like they should be strong as individuals, while Liz/Maria seem weaker for their respective tribes).

I mean, good for Yanu winning, but this seemed like an easier challenge than the last few.

OKAY, Yanu is definitely losing the immunity, lol

I don't know why...something about Tevin not breaking down and crying during that story made it feel more genuine.

The thing I love most about Bhanu is that he's like a twist in and of himself that three otherwise sane and rational players have to work around and train to not fuck up.

I like it better when the castaway brings it up on their own volition. It's awful when production asks castaways to cue the waterworks. Tevin clearly felt haunted by his dad's death and he didn't need to cry to make it seem that way. That's why it felt real.

Also Q coaching Bhanu is AMAZING. And Kenzie being catty on top of it... this tribe is FIRE.

Even so, I want Siga to lose too, so shit hits the fan.

They are actually showing the boats bringing them in. No more "Swim to shore!" BS that we all know is BS.

Unless this challenge is quick... or there's another MedEvac... or Bhanu breaks down again and quits to spite his tribe... or there's a "To Be Continued..."

I don't know why I was concerned that Nami might lose when they were struggling. I knew Hunter would ace that challenge.

Aside from this episode's reward challenge, EVERY challenge has been EXACTLY the same all season. Nami wins big, Siga gets second, and Yanu blows it.

There may be a dissolution next week. I know there's no swap because of the idol instructions but a dissolution is entirely possible.

This is probably another Alecia situation where it's such a foregone conclusion that they don't need to spend much time on it.

Also, I just want to point out the hilarity of continuity this episode. Reward challenge: Tim jumps out of the boat onto an unstable, floating platform and beefs it. Immunity challenge: Tim jumps off the dock onto an unstable, floating platform and just about beefs it.

I don't know why they sent Tim out in the reward. The other tribes did it right by sending out their lightest member.

Maybe Bhanu can pray a Siga into getting medivaced from a fire ant bite this week.

I'm sorry, but this is why I was happy he was going home last week...if Bhanu left last week, he would've been a quirky third boot. This is just sad. This whole episode has been sad.

Remember that Bhanu doesn't have a vote so he can't play the Shit in the Dark. Poor guy. He was so entertaining, but I honestly think four episodes of him is plenty. Here's hoping dealing with him, Jess, and Jelinsky keeps Kenzie, Tiff, and Q unstable for the rest of the game. Because it would be mighty boring otherwise.

Glad this pre-merge has been pretty lit though, if only because of Yanu's chaos and Nami not enjoying each other's company either.

I have a feeling this season is going to improve exponentially with Bhanu gone. I have no idea why they decided to give him this amount of screen time

I don't care how obvious a boot is. The Jess episode was great because of Jess. Last week was fun except for the ending. This episode is great because it's actually making me feel something. Yes, it's sad, but I much prefer feeling emotions to watching gamebots calculate data.

The Jess boot was obvious in theory, but in practice, the editing did a great job of making it seem like, you know...maybe she's NOT gonna get voted out. I expected her to go out, but unlike last week, where the Kenzie decoy felt completely faked...I thought it could actually happen to Jess.

I agree, but I think it was just too much with the 90 minute runtime (and Bhanu basically getting two boot episodes). It's was just getting repetitive.

Alright, time to see how TAR plays out tonight.

Sunny & Bizzy keep randomly leapfrogging teams in-transit between tasks. I wish we'd get to see how they're accomplishing this.

i think this season still has plenty of potential but 4 episodes in feels like mostly a wash. bhanu being dead man walking for 180 hours was far too much.

Yeah, I didn't expect the twins to do that one.

I really hope Chris & Mary lose here. Kishori & Karishma are such fun trainwrecks, and Chris/Mary are giving us NOTHING.

Derek & Shelisa look even better when the other older people are struggling so much here.

The recap reminded us of Tevin having an extra vote, Maria having an extra vote, Ben having no vote...anything is possible.

I kinda wanna see Yanu lose again, because at least it'd be interesting to see them get whittled down to two.

But also, Hunter getting the idol isn't the WORST thing (and I love Venus being a little gremlin, even if that makes her one of the biggest merge boot chances, alongside Kenzie).

I really hate how cliquey this season is. Siga is boys vs girls, and the other two tribes have been about ganging up on the lowest person on the totem pole.
