On the reverse side, he expected his Palpitoad to solo Elesa, forgetting that she's a Gym Leader. Y'know, monotype trainers who compensate for their type's weaknesses, of which electric has only one. Hilarious how dumb he looked there. But there are also good things, like him attempting to die for Pikachu in the first episode or spending all night trying to help Charizard thaw out. Or high comedy like Misty saying "You and I will be married some day, too, Ash." and him taking a moment to realize what that meant. Original series was the best for Ash because he was very much a 10 y/o boy, and that made him more amusing and complex than who we have today. He learned a lot of lessons and grew a ton. He also never attempted to steal any Pokmon after getting denied by AJ and his Sandshrew, unlike Team Rocket, who never learns. Or get the thing to do it myself. For Gen 8 and later, I can simply use the GTS via HOME, then maybe evolve and breed things in Shining Pearl (forgot I bought that cheap last year - never started it). Sword seems to have very mixed opinions about it. S/V seem to be very well-liked, probably due to some of the Legends Arceus carryover. That game was a breath of fresh air because it was the first time Pokmon actually felt different, that they deviated from the formula in ways that the trials in S&M did not. That was really just gym battles with a different coat of paint. Arceus was completely different, which got S/V to try to do some things differently, too. I think I'll pass on US/UM if the only reason to get it is Poipole and whatever else. Can I get the Sword DLC by itself...? | BlueCrystalTear 03/22/23 11:16:41 PM #1 | I currently have X, Alpha Sapphire, and Moon. I don't have anything except Legends Arceus after that (though many things before them). Would Ultra Sun be a worthwhile expense when I just beated Moon last week? I didn't particularly enjoy it at all until resuming it, and even then I felt like the writing was even worse than normal and there wasn't much challenge even when I tried to make it harder. They really insist on making me feel like I need the game to tell me what to do... I don't have Sword/Shield or Scarlet/Violet. My Living Dex is complete through Gen 6 with only a few holes in Gen 7, mainly legendary Pokmon and gifts like Null (who can't breed), if any of that matters. I know Sword would help me fill in some holes from Moon, so that's what I would get. Should I get Ultra Sun before the eShop closure? Should I instead use this Nintendo account credit for Sword or Violet? I can only afford one at present... ugh... It's even worse when Danny was so much more engaging and entertaining in doing the same exact thing a scene prior.Danny was smart. He planted an idol to bus whoever found it to take any attention off of him. He then used it to force Matt to trust him. All this worked well. He won't take any heat for it because he was clever and subtle. Matthew was dumb. Jaime already trusted him. And when she realizes she was duped, she can shoot daggers at him on his way out and blow up his game. Nobody will trust him after that. After all, he basically led her there. Plant your fake idol for an enemy to find. Don't lead an ally there. Frannie > Danny > (Claire) > Matt > Heidi > Josh Carolyn > Sarah > Yam-Yam > (Bruce) > Carson > (Helen, because edit) Jaime > Lauren > (Maddy) > Brandon > Kane > Matthew Purple is easily my favorite tribe. It's not close. Carson is somebody to root against, as he's interesting for a cocky superfan. Helen should have been higher than #12 but we were deprived of her in the edit. Probably was deliberate, to protect the fandom from themselves. Orange is lame. Nobody in my top five, four in my bottom six. That tribe is greater than the sum of its parts. You'd think that the episode 1 shitshow would have produced more interesting individuals. This episode was an episode. Got some nice character scenes and fun stuff but I'm not really excited by this show like I used to be. Do you take the truck home with you at night? Having it on your phone is a different beast. Imagine your boss berating you for not picking up his call from 8:26 pm the night before because you had left the phone at your place. He literally wanted you to have it with you when you went out to a party because your job comes first. It's just an excuse for you to always be watched, not just when you're on the clock. I also stopped going to the movies after those, but did return for Battle of Hogwarts.
