I'm not a fan of how the "guys" thing was handled (to be honest, if they hadn't even said anything and just dropped it, I probably never would have noticed) but to say that one moment in the premiere sunk the season is an insane overreaction. As a Shan fan, admittedly I do find some of her fans to be incredibly obnoxious, especially in edgic (I'm sure they're worse on CTS; I don't even look at that cesspool anymore). But how is she "vile?" She's like, not even close to being in the top 200 worst people that have ever been on the show. And straight-up nicknaming her "Shit" is actually a vile thing to say. The Shit fans got me banned from RHAP and r/Survivor simply for not liking her and expressing that. The nickname is what I will always refer to her as going forward, as mild as it is. Also she scammed people on Patreon with saying she'd "help them find God" but in reality she was just lining her chequebook. BlueCrystalTear 05/08/24 10:48:52 PM #457	I think 46 > 45 > 42 > 44 > 43 > 41 is how I'd have them, personally. 46 is the first season of the "New Era" that feels like Survivor should. And I think that's partly because they were willing to cast people who wouldn't necessarily like each other, and also because Jeff is needling and trolling people again when they deserve it, and also because I've actually been watching the merge challenges, and also because there are legit memorable and funny moments. 45 had a handful of good stuff, most of which was Emily-adjacent, but it lacked in the arguments... and had the Sean quit, which was awful. At least Hannah owned it and was colorful on her way out! 42 and 44 were both good, not great, and I'd think the one-hour runtime with all the advantage filler was detrimental. 42 is better because the cast clicked across tribes while 44's clicked more within their original tribes and not beyond that. There was some good early drama in 44, though. 43 was a slog until the home stretch, but BOY did it get really good there. The "Telenovela" episode may be the best episode of the entire "New Era" but that's really the only one I'd say from that season that was truly excellent. 41 had a lot of problems, namely the cringy manufactured "guys" nonsense that really did NOT need to be a thing, the fact that the winner was nearly invisible in quite a few episodes, the hourglass, and the very existence of Shit, who is one of the most vile players ever and her fans are even worse. I'm honestly thinking 46 may barely be in my top 10. Nothing else in the "New Era" comes close. I hope Forty-Several uses 46's casting, Probst trolling, and editing as a model, because this really feels like the show I love again. 45 was only halfway there, but the 90 minutes sure did help. --- Help control the pet population. But I am 100% listening to it. She is someone who has always delivers the goods. That said, I am pretty "eh" on watching next week's episode now that Venus is gone and the Siga trio have majority. I kept thinking back to...I think it was Jaime finding the idol in S44, and it's so exciting for someone like her to find it...and then we get a confessional from Matthew saying he planted a fake idol for her to find, since he had the real one. But Venus finding an idol is pretty amazing. I am so happy that she found that like you would not believe. Not only is she in the minority, she's the one who recognizes the threat of Maria/Charlie/Ben, and that Maria is probably the leader. Venus was giving Kenzie too many red flags, and yet Kenzie seemed dismissive of the idea that Venus actually found it. Which is SO AMAZING. And Venus is actually shutting up about having it! She learned from the mistakes of the others. Hunter should've never told anyone and Tiff should've only told Kenzie since Kenzie was there with her when it was found. We've gotten very little personal content for her and you'd think they'd have wanted to invest more in the Malcolm/Denise thing for Charlie and Maria if it was indeed Maria winning. The comparison would be more obvious since in Philippines, those two child-abusing dirtbags took Denise to F3 instead of Malcolm, where she promptly waxed their disgusting butts. (Thankfully, there's no such scum this season.) I actually think ~~Kenzie will try to take Maria out and probably succeed~~. ~~[Charlie]~~ is my top winner contender right now but I legit could see anybody pulling it out. A few notes here: Everybody keeps saying they'll never vote for Quitavius to win. This has to mean something; either he's getting owned at FTC like nobody has in a good while or he's gonna actually manage to change their minds. I don't know which it is, but the latter is much less likely given how people like The Hantz in HvV, Muffin, Troyzan, Laurel/Yanni, Angelina and Noura all got labeled as goats by mid-merge and that was that. None of them got any votes, save for Muffin since she threatened to ground Baylor if she didn't, and it didn't matter what they said at FTC. (Examples are F3s only.) Venus was an insignificant bystander for this last episode; if she was winning, we'd have at least heard some of her thoughts. My thought of her being the bizarro world winner was most likely wrong. She's starting to feel like ~~the pre-finale boot... Abi-Maria style~~. Charlie talking about training his grip strength means ~~this isn't going to be the last challenge he wins~~, unless that was put in as a major red herring. Kenzie was on my radar for a good while but she wanted to make BIG MOVEZ for no reason (Tiff was floored in her exit press, saying something along the lines of "Girl, you don't vote out your #1 with like ten people left on the beach!") and then was excluded from the idea she proposed. This right here feels like ~~it's explaining why she loses. She might be the runner-up~~. Ben is drawing dead. We know zilch about his relationships at this point and only get him making "This does not rock" jokes, plus the fantastic scene where Kenzie comforted him when he was feeling lonely. That made me think ~~he'll vote for Kenzie to win the season, since he's likely finale fodder~~. So my current thought for placement is something like: ~~1 Charlie....~~ ~~2 Kenzie....~~ ~~3 Quitavius~~ ~~4 Liz..........~~ ~~5 Ben........~~ ~~6 Venus....~~ ~~7 Maria.....~~ With either ~~Charlie winning final immunity and taking Quitavius OR Charlie winning at fire~~. Obviously, there are OTHER things in play, too, like the "Siga Strong" crap. The editing has become extremely complex with the 90-minute episodes. Of course there's a huge chance I am way off on this but that's the beauty of analyzing the edit. Sometimes you're right, sometimes you're wrong. Like I called Gabler one of the top two contenders going into the finale in 43 and some people laughed at me... and I still mock them to this day. I thought that people here would eat it up. I found Kleavor to be an unnecessary alternate evolution that pales in comparison to Scizor in every imaginable way. The design is... fine, I guess. The typing is okay. But Gen 8 getting a secondary Scyther evolution was a weird choice to me. That said, I am a Scizor fan, so... LusterSoldier posted... I'm also more into the cute designs over the cool or meta ones. For me it depends on the design. I like some cute, I like some cool, I like some powerful. The Sims, for instance, has a huge modding community because EA legit encourages people to create their own things. Finding mods is part of the game, really. Skyrim, however, is but a decent game when left vanilla - and if you're playing on a console, you're SOL. I know I'm far from the only person who will start up a new Skyrim file every 3-4 years, get bored after 20-30 hours, give up and wonder what the hell I was doing whenever I go back, repeating the cycle anew. --- Help control the pet population. Kenzie is SPEECHLESS at how Siga just left her in the dust. She might not be winning either since her position just went up in smoke. Would have been better if she'd stuck to her guns. Underleveled posted... I was honestly still hanging onto the bizarro-edit Q win but this episode once and for all murdered that, burned it and pissed on the ashes. Siga was the least fun tribe this season because they were too exemplary of "New Era" kumbayah cheerleading bullshit.
