I'd say that if talks come up about being pregnant and raising a biological family of the same genes comes up, then the transwoman needs to fess up. Much like how I feel if a cisgender woman in advance knows she's incapable of having kids, then needs to be honest. And I think it's better to be honest upfront. Transwoman & Cisgender women are not the same, hence the distinction. To act like relationship dynamics between dating either are the same is being willfully blind. Even things like never having to worry about sex around menstruation or avoiding sex when they're ovulating are things that will never happen while dating a Transwoman. I think people should date who they want but they should be transparent about their backgrounds. I personally wouldn't mind dating a transgender man (Im bi but date gay ), but I think I'd lean on the side of wanting them to keep their vagina. I think I'd be more turned off my a surgically created penis than a regular vagina. And them having a vagina obviously changes our relationship dynamics |

If you're a man building a life with a transwoman you should be informed that you two won't have biological children together. And to some men that means the world to them. Same goes for any other routes. Since it's long term, all parties should be informed of what their relationsihp dynamics are. I think for sex it's something courteous to do, particularly if you still have your biological parts. |

It's literally people having a mental disassociation with their physical bodies.I think understand the drive to not want to consider it such by the community but it prevents us from discussing or handling it honestly. I'm a stutterer, i have a neurological / communicative disorder, that's not gonna change regardless of how i feel. Either cases don't diminish our humanity. And it kind of bugs me we see people say that having a disorder or mental illness is fine, but then they never want to be roped into the disorder category they say it's fine to be in. I support them serving in the Armed forces, i sure as heck am not brave enough. For the most part I dont care what bathroom they use either. I do get bugged at radical activists though who use shame as a tactic. You can't shame people into dating you by calling them transphobic. |

Like I remember those claims when the first trailer for Ep 7 came out and we saw the Protag was a woman and Finn was Black. We had no details on their story or characters yet people cried pandering. Like I'd understand if Finn had a scene where he's harassed in a hoodie, took a knee to protest the empire, or he had a shoe horned "hands up don't shoot scene" but his race had literally no impact on his character, so does it matter if he's Black or not? Because if it's still pandering that he's Black, then what race SHOULD he have been then for things to not be pandering? White? End of the day, to make a movie you have to pander to some sort of audience for tickets to be bought. What race should they have made Finn or what gender should Rey be for it to no longer be "Pandering"? | BigSLM1993 11/24/17 9:32:05 PM #1 | I make this topic as a Gay man that has attended pride twice. I'm not much of a fan. I think the idea of it is fine. It's a great chance for everyone LGBT to unite and feel comfortable in their own skin, show solidarity, show mainstream America that we're as normal as everyone else. But in the two times I've gone, I don't understand the hypersexuality of it all. Like with LA Pride, there's a certain section where you pay to enter. At this section they have places for dancing and tents where they sell sex toys / DVD's (unless they've changed in recent years). What stood out to me the most was a public exhibition where a guy volunteered to gag himself and be whipped. Coupled with "models" from porn studios walking around, or people dressed rather indecently. I'm really for people having their fetishes or kinks, but I feel that if we want to show modern America that we're "normal" like them, why are we so brazen with sexuality? Or why is that we're attributing that with LGBT "culture"? I know gay men who get excited to dress in fish nets or dress like Dr Frankenfurther for Pride, but we wouldn't be doing that normally in public. I do admit i have biases because I come from a rather conservative background. I'm sure there are good counterpoints / reasons for why things are the way they are. So I'd like everyone else's take. |

Does that make them transphobic if that's their metric for not wanting to date? Obviously not all men want kids, so great good for them. I prefer dating men myself, so I expect to not have biological children. But I understand that some men naturally do, and not go through processes like surrogates or adopt.
