Edit: for those replying, the idea here that OP was getting at is that when the park opens, if you're first in line at the gates, you can run to a ride that would normally have a really long wait time, and be able to get right on it. This is why Blue Streak is the wrong answer.

And see, this right here really illustrates the main problem with the way our society has been conditioned to become unable to imagine a world without government involvement in so many aspects of our lives. Such a binary way of thinking, that because I said a particular government program shouldn't exist, that I must also have the opinion that people shouldn't be helped (I don't).

What if I told you that you can believe in helping people, but also hold the opinion that that help should not come by way of government stealing other people's money by force and redistributing it? Helping people in need is the role of private charities, churches, and communities. And if people were allowed to keep more of their hard-earned money (and that includes large corporations) then they could afford to be incredibly more charitable.

A perfect example of this is the food industry. When compared to government programs such as food stamps, wic, etc... private charities, food banks, and corporations provide more for people in need, at well over a 3 to 1 ratio. This is for a number of reasons, but mainly because the food industry is, for the most part, pretty unregulated. And also because, surprise surprise, the government programs designed to provide said services are wildly inefficient.

But hey, government should be blindly entrusted to take care of every aspects of our lives, right? I mean, after all, they're such great stewards of our hard earned money. http://www.usdebtclock.org/
