Firearms as in you're buying one?
Or as in your Concealed Handgun Permit?

As in the permit to buy one.

I live in NJ, they make it tough.

I live in NJ

I'm so sorry, my condolences

Here in SC you don't need to do all that just to buy one. Just a 30 minute or so wait on a background check and 2 pages of paperwork.

I had to take an 8 hour course, get fingerprinted, pay 50 bucks and wait 90 days for my concealed weapons permit. I've had it 5 years now.

Yeah, pretty much the same here in Texas. Do the paperwork, wait like 15-20 mins for the background check, pay and you're done.

I don't even have to wait for the background check anymore, cwp holders just show it to the clerk and they put it on the paperwork. If you do anything to get disqualified to have a cwp a cop comes to your house and place of business to take it away. Or if you get pulled over they'll take it if the system says you're disqualified

Nice. Unfortunately, I don't have a carry license, but they were just made cheaper here in Texas today, so that's awesome.

So I looked up this application process online. Downloaded all the forms and filled them out. I went there, there were more forms I needed. I went back today, first wave of forms done. Now I have more, and an appointment to get fingerprints. Come on doods.

This sounds just terrible. Does this application allow you to be a gun buyer, or would you have to do this for each gun you wanted?

I'm not certain, the laws are really weird hear. For handguns, you need to buy a purchaser slip for each one, and it costs like $5 for each. But you can only get so many slips per year, I think. For shotguns and rifles, I don't think there's a limit.

My dude! What’re you gonna buy?

Not sure yet, but I've been wanting my license for a while.
