I liked the first one but they really went downhill. I think the only part I liked of the later ones was the opening of one where the clones attacked a Tokyo HQ and that was mostly because of the music

In Black Panther, the hero is the leader of an African nation, and the villain wants to declare war on the world for the crimes committed on other black people. He refers to other countries as 'colonizers'. Race is a theme of the movie.

Sounds basically the same as the comics. KillMonger's main theme is hating that Wakanda opens up to the world and wants to rid it of outside influences in the comics

Yeah, I'd say that headline is actually pretty accurate. Obviously, Barack Obama's election in 2008 was much more culturally significant than this movie, but black people are definitely very excited to see Black Panther. Black Panther had record pre-release ticket sales, so there's definitely a ton of excitement about the movie.

I've seen every Marvel movie in theaters, but never been in a theater of 95% black people on release day for a Marvel movie until Black Panther.

I can relate. As a kid I once spent my entire allowance trying to win the poster of a girl in a thong at a dart throwing game

I'd be disappointed but I'd probably give them up. I'm not a gun nut and all the guns I own are simply used for hunting. I'm not someone that carries one around thinking I'll need it for defense either. If they're banned I wouldn't have any use for them anymore

I'd prefer something like UK has if we're going to do something serious though where I'd be able to obtain a certificate specifically for guns that I could use to hunt

The officers undoubtedly did which is why I said all it takes is for higher ups looking the other way. Given his habit of lying and attitude towards Iraqis it's easy to assume he might have killed someone before confirming whether they were threats or not

You say that like WW2 nazis had any problem steam rolling and killing "their own people" during the war. Plenty of white supremacists have no problem with calling other white people enemies for whatever reason. Maybe they believe they are "race traitors" for accepting minorities or perhaps they just see them as the enemy simply because they aren't white supremacists

That said this is most likely not racially motivated. He's a psycho that happened to be a white supremacist and decided to take out his rage on innocent people
