You mean "consequences"?

We try to be aware of the consequences of our actions yes. We're not very good at it, but we try.

Yeah it's used as a word of praise here.

When you get called a "sickc***".... it's the highest praise you can get.

And yet American women often wear the word bitch like a point of pride.

Remember when brat, asshole and bitch were bad things?

I knew a British woman that said it all the time. It's just one of those regional quirks. American women find it offensive and it's generally not as popular as a cuss word. Even guys that cuss a lot just never said it

I hate the term when its used to describe the female genitalia. But, I love it as an insult/compliment.

Example: You're a sick c**t.

Me and my wife are Canadian and we use it. She works with two British chaps (one from 'Oup North' and one from southern England) and they both use it pretty liberally as well.

Edit: I forgot to mention that we also don't use it exclusively towards women.

When I was 11 years old my PE teacher/ deputy head teacher (principal for you americans) was shouting at me for fighting in front of the whole school, so about 600 kids. (wasn't my fault I got attacked by a bunch of bullies and tried to fight them off, somehow I was the only one who got into trouble)

Anyway I started walking away from him and he said "don't you dare walk away from me", I turned around and shouted as loud as I possibly could "fuck you, you ****". That was funny.

I love the word.

Thats not true. You can say it on U.K. tv.

Its used in the U.K. loads, but rarely in the same context as America. Its more of a generic insult, rather than meaning a body part.

Well, after the watershed. Then anything goes really. But you can't say it on daytime TV (along with most swears)
