Thanks for everyone for replying. Sorry I haven't replied to everyone directly. Interestingly, Del Torro tried to adapt this.. I don't now how I'd feel about a live adaption personally. Live adaption animes have always looked cheesy to me.

I'm now about halfway through the anime. God damn Lunge and his boner for Tenma is getting tiresome. Dude is just an unrealistic detective who gave up his family just to do detective work on Tenma. Ghosted his daughter and grandson. Don't understand the need for his character at this point.

Been watching this for like a month now on Netflix.. 1-2 episodes a day. Starts off good, but its a slow burn with some "ok" episodes. Then, near halfway (into episode 30 out of 75), it's getting good now.

It was great for it's time. Suffers from some pacing issues in the beginning.

Tears of light quests weren't even that bad. Lol.

I don't think it aged well. Graphically, the Wii U HD version was a disappointment. Textures were bad in some areas and a lot of models also should have gotten reworked. Gameplay was pretty simple.

Something similar actually happened to my brother's friend. He had a brain tumor and ihe got got taken out. But it affected his speech. It took a while for him to recover. He needed help obviously. But his wife at the time couldn't take it and left him. He is now married to another woman who used to have cancer as well and they have a kid.

This generation is fucked I swear. You wouldn't see this with our parents generation.

Gobstoppers12 posted...
Contrary to popular opinion, you're not actually obligated to stay with somebody who's going through an extremely challenging battle with a debilitating illness. She may get a lot of flack, but it's not 'selfish' to escape a physically, mentally, and emotionally draining situation.

People who stick through those tough times because of true love are admirable, but people who can't handle the difficulties and choose to leave aren't evil for doing so.
It's true that you aren't obligated. But what if it was your spouse?

My mom and I was there for my dad when he got brain cancer and to the very end at least.. It's not easy by any means.

Might just be a generational thing as well. Our generation are not as mentally strong and won't work through as many hardships as our parents.

Is this supposed to be some gotcha moment? This is a really weird thing to post.. the poster didn't contradict themselves in anyway by saying safety should be taken into account for this accident scenario.

I personally feel mixed about this. Besides the armorer, whoever is shooting a gun, should absolutely check the gun before shooting. Also, Alec Baldwin has a huge part in this movie. Besides being the main actor, he wrote it and produced the movie. Hopefully this incident passes a law that requires more checks. Sounded like it was an absolute shit show at the time leading up to the incident as well.

I mean generally you would know something is up.

I would look for another job ASAP, especially if you don't feel like you can convince them otherwise and come around.

Depends on the degree and wether or not it suits your personality. It also depends what you do with it or what skills you pick up, the paper alone can only do so much for you
The paper opens up more jobs and can give you a higher base salary than someone with a less advanced degree. People with masters can get into jobs with less years if experience required from a job posting.

Of course the field matters and what you plan to do with it as well. Some fields are less bang for your buck with master degrees.

Absolutely, but it depends on what field you are studying to reap the most benefits such as salary potentia/cap, job availability, stability.

You can never go wrong with STEM. Science, tech, engineering, and medical.

Besides that.. business, or law maybe?

I went with liberal arts bachelor's degree and by my senior year, I knew I didn't want to get a masters and do field work or teach. There wasn't even that many jobs available. When I graduated I thought I could get a comfortable government office job, making 50k,.but noope. went through like dozen in person interviews. for.b.s jobs. Eventually worked at a printing press for 3 months, but that was horrible (besides grave hours, couldn't go to school because of weekly shifting schedules) and then eventually to data entry. I thought I could "settle" for $13 an hour, and thank God I got tired of it after a year. So I worked part time there and went into tech full time as a student at a local cc, and got into the field 1.5 years later. Best career decision I've made. Also dodged a bullet by not enrolling in heald college doing IT, before it went down under

It's ridiculous how much expensive school is nowadays, but STEM and/or business is worth it.
I can't say anything about vocational schools, as I have no experience.

Think about what field you could see yourself enjoying doing for potentially the rest of your life. like how it makes you feel, what skills you can develop to make yourself more valuable, and the bigger picture of it all (is it a field helping humanity/the world, for example?

Assuming you live in the u.s., If you wanna save money and go for STEM, get into a CC for your first two years to save money (and live with parents if you have to). Speak with a counselor to get into an program to transfer into a university after. Work a part time job if you can.

A bachelor's in general will open you up with more jobs and higher pay than anything under.

Is that not good enough for the lead role? She has a lot of experience at her age, and kinda looks Hawaiian (at least she grew up there also), and considered Pacific Islander.

Edit: oh, not the lead role per SE. Not that it matters. How many Pacific Islanders/Hawaiians applied for the role and were decent? We'll never know.
