Not saying a 22 year old should. And it's not a good idea to date minors though and there are grey areas (like a 17 and 19 year old). Above all I would recommend everyone date someone who is close in age and life experience to them, and have similar values. They work out the best. Dating someone while they are in highschool is weird AF though, unless they are 18 and you are like 20 or something. Not gonna completely judge an 18 year old pursuing someone in their 20s, 30s, 40s or even 50s. Is it weird? Yeah. Dividing your age by by 2 and add 7 is a good thing to follow for youngest, assuming they are at least 18. I personally would want to get with someone that's like my age or 3 years younger for a serious relationship. Would I go looking for 18 year olds? Definitely not. Would I have sex with one with consent from both parties? I would be open to it. But it's one of the last things I'm looking for. Definitely not a serious relationship. Why not promote guy #1 to a Lead role at least? Coach the guy and give him tasks on how to lead his team. An assistant manager is different from a lead role since the latter is basically a supervisor role on path to management roles. I would ask him if he is interested first if he is even interested in managing people. Not everyone wants to, but it can be learned. You can talk to guy #2 about his problem solving and leadership, but talk to him about his performance as well... And then mention a path where he could become an assistant, if he improves his performance and is more reliable and professional, like in a year or whatever.
