America was shaped by the auto and big oil. The reason why it's built the way it is, is because big auto wanted it to be. In every other country you can live without a car. There are trains and other mass transit. But towns in america are spaced out and homes are isolated. No where is walkible. Capitalism makes you overworked and underpaid while keeping out isolated. There is no community and the reason why it's built this way is because of capitalism.

I feel this comes a bit too late. It would have made sense to happen during the 2018-2022 time frame when trump was president and the pandemic hit.

But soon trump will be gone. KoTH has always been about Americana in the suburbs, and the gradual change from Obama to the trump era would have had been good material for great king of the hill episodes.

This happens twofold. First is how Hank reacts to the changes in America and how even in his lifetime had never seen anything like it. And second from Bobby's perspective of being a millennial and realizing that you don't have what was promised to you.

I still think KoTH can be relevant but the most interesting things have already come and gone.
