You ever feel so lonely that you attempted to seize power in a military coup

He's gunna be real lonely in his prison cell.

Sounds like he's not going to prison based on the last few posts in the thread.

There's a solid chance still I think. That's the stance they're verbally taking, but there was a big protest yesterday and will be larger ones to come. I think some will realize the political hell they'll have to face if they allow Yun to carry through the term. Securing 9 votes from them is not an impossible task.

Apparently the Impeachment vote is anonymous from what I'm hearing/seeing so if there are those in the PPP who aren't aligned with the party's official stance (one would certainly hope at least 9 of them wouldn't be cool letting a President who attempted a coup not face punishment) they can vote to impeach without outing themselves to the party

Anonymous votes in governments is kind of gross, IMO.

Not really. Anonymity protects those who fear repercussions for voting against their own party/president.

No there's pretty much no chance whatsoever that this can happen. I just can't really imagine the average American doing things like helping politicians over military blockades to fight fascism or physically blocking the advance of the military as they target protestors.

The fine arts radio station announced in the morning news that an analysis of Trump indicates that he will implement fascism. These guys are centrists not wild eyed radicals.

I think the more likely scenario is that Trump sends no money to California and demands that federal income tax from California payrolls continue on its way to the federal government.

The payroll department works directly for the company so if Newsom has the charisma or whatever to have the tax sent to California instead, then everyone will be under arrest for income tax theft.

They (ruling party) walked out to abstain from voting after voting for the investigation of his wife which failed to pass after two votes. These guys are stubborn despite knowing everything going on is fucked. All to own the libs

The only people they're owning is themselves. With this scale of public anger failing to take action against Yoon just means he'll take the People Power Party down with him. No idea what they're thinking.

A majority of Yoon's party boycotted the impeachment vote. Yoon survives and will remain President.

The ruling party is planning to have him resign. Looks like they know he can't really be trusted, but they want him to step down on their terms.

As of right now, he can longer interfere in foreign or state affairs. His power is severely limited until they have him step down, so it's not all bad
