I hope this does well, just cause it will help both Linux get more Windows games (whic they've already been improving the last few years, this uses a new software Valve is doing called proton to get Windows stuff on Linux). But also, I like console features, like a good console interface, on PC. I love gamepads.

However, the design, for me, I'm not too impressed by. But I may get one to play games with my gf

With mods it's even better.

TC, Fallout 3 is also amazing in its own right, as is new vegas. (I agree with others that they are superior)

There is a project that combines both of those games, and fixes bugs in both, it's called Tale of Two Wastelands (TTW for short).

TTW at this point fixes so many bugs, it runs better than EITHER game by themselves. It is balanced together, and you can take your progress from Fallout 3 and all its expansions, to New vegas and all its expansions (And fan made expansions).

It turns the two of them combined into one of the biggest RPGs ever, and easily the biggest post-apocalypse RPG ever. And like I said, it runs better than both, so even if you don't want to play both with one character, it's still better to play either of those games on TTW.

If you google that, you'll find their site. However, it would be worth it to watch that every few weeks. SOmetime probably in the next 1 or 2 months, they are going to launch a huge years in the making update. TTW 3.3, watch out for that (current is 3.2). But New Vegas modders are really excited for 3.3 cause the guys working on that have fixed so many bugs across Fallout 3 and New Vegas, those games are going to be buttery smooth with that new update.

It's one of the most impressive modding projects for any game I've seen. It brings Fallout 3 up to the standards of new vegas and even beyond (brings in all new mechanics from vegas, survival, ironsights, more). And because New Vegas the game is the base, you can still use many New Vegas mods, while Fallout 3 mods are slowly ported over by the community.

And there's plenty of nice new mods, that make the game mechanically feel very nice and more modern. Not completely modern, but better.

It's a project most people sleep on, even though it is the most premium way to enjoy those games as of right now.

Idk, New Yorkers wanted them to rebuild the towers as well, but instead they built the "One World Trade Center" single tower.

Although, it is very clever, if you know about the symbolism of the twin pillars, which is essentially what the towers are. The twin pillars are the illusion of choice, where you think you have two options but really they lead to "one" answer in the middle. Matrix uses this with the twin pills (pills-pillars) symbolism, as that also represents that illusion, and the movie reveals the one answer.

So building one tower where they stood makes sense in that way, and it seems that was the intention with the design of the new tower.

All that to say, I suspect it would have been a new version, not exactly the same, or a new structure/design entirely.

Oldest is probably my copy of Mario Bros (the two player vs) for the original Famicom. 1984, something like that? It was arcade, but im prettu sure it also launched the famicom. Anyway it's a near 40 year old cart, complete in box also.

Newest physical?? Halo Reach on 360. I don't get any current games physically.

I probably was pretty close at one time or another. There was a time like two years ago I was negative on multiple bank accounts, behind on everything. It was awful. Finally got myself out of that as of this year, have a bit of savings and so on

Not really a reboot, but I hope Bethesda does not remaster their modern games (Morrowind/Oblivion/Fallout 3) like a lot of people want, because the modding communities for each of those games is reaching a really incredible level, and a new game would just split the community and start a lot of progress over. Also, the community is doing their own remakes of each of these anyway for free.

I wish they had left the voice acting alone for Twin Snakes. Re-doing the vocals is the only reason I won't play that game.

Age of Empires II's new version is an absolutely monumental expansion, and ha really brought a lot of modern quality of life changes to what is otherwise still an amazing RTS. Your best value would definitely be the Age of Empires II definitive edition. Literally a ton of story campaigns and other content, and the game itself is obviously great (though youll want plenty of practice on NPCs before you try online). The single player alone is worth it though.

I think remaking something for a particular nationality can work, IF the original has already been done as it should have been. That would have been a really bad first viewing of Harry Potter.

This kind of gives more context for those comments I heard about Rowling saying, where she only wanted English actors. She had to make that stance cause clearly producers, SPielberg, whoever else, was pushing to fully Americanize the story.

Truthfully, SPielberg should have done the Star Wars Prequels under production by Lucas. That would have been really incredible. (He almost did Return of the Jedi, but the directors guild conflicts wouldnt allow it)
