Prob Mario 64 would be the closest thing. Mario 64 was kinda magical first time I played it but a saturation of uninspired collectathon games and not really realizing they were mostly terrible until I'd played too many of them soured me on 3D platformers in general.

Mario 64 does a lot right that they don't, but I still don't like it all that much anymore. I've never fully replayed it successfully.

Well I'll say bad booking will hurt my enjoyment of a match, but I just don't really think WWE's booking has been egregious this year. Generally I'd say it's been adequate.

Like if I have my fantasy booking hat on I'm not changing a lot unless I can just change what matches are made outright which I guess you could call poor booking in a sense-- like Becky/Seth vs Corbin/Like a Lady should not exist as a submain but eh. The results and the finishes have really been mostly okay this year I feel considering the matches made.

WWE has a style problem where their matches are going to underwhelm relative to the talent in them cause of the formulaic approach they have to match structure. So yeah it's the booking and the matches. In fact I would say the booking this year hasn't really been very bad. We're kinda just suffering the consequences of years of bad booking before.

I mean you can have a lot of 3-4* WWE matches but you won't see truly great stuff very often because the formula, presentation, and announcing holds it back. It's all very sterilized and standardized.

I honestly thought the second post in particular felt like a rather abrupt transition into hammer. Like you seemed to be acting as though you wanted to catch up with the day and comment, and then you sorta just go into hammerspace immediately after proclaiming you believe Chris is town. I don't really feel like that post exists in the same space as a wacky hammerlord. Like someone concerned about catching up with the content isn't immediately transitioning into ending further content. That's not natural-- one of the two reactions is being faked.

I see what you mean about the watcher claim seeming less suicidal in theory, but I still don't understand how scum gets from "someone was roleblocked" to "sultan needs to die today".

One more thing to add here. Keep in mind if there's an SK in the game scumteam probably only has 4 members, so scum has the SK hunting on the brain as 4 to 13 town is very unlikely. 4v1v12 is more likely there.

So yeah if they get roleblocked no doubt in my,mind their mind is going to SK to start before town roleblocked.

If you assume red was roleblocking Chris (which makes sense considering red suspected chris) and Chris is scum, and scum targeted Sultan with something, scum got roleblocked twice night 1

To me the latter seems more likely. I think what I was saying about Chris just wanting to cause as much chaos as possible and get out made sense too as a scum play.

Like I just see the play having all upside as scum. Worst case scenario he mislynches a town and then is lynched himself while choking out discussion for 3 days. Best case he lynches an SK with a fakeclaim that could potentially detect it and is confirmed.

I mean I think they're both scum and am currently on Chris so it's pretty whatever to me. I don't really want to think too hard about which one is the stronger role. If you consider had Chris's claim actually worked he would be the only one at risk you can spin it as him being more expendable.

I do think if red wants to be a dick him double roleblocking Chris makes sense so if you wanna hit the jackpot killing Chris is probably best. But yeah it's whatever. No chance either one is town at this point the play doesn't make sense nor do the claims.

Sultan has been one of the least active players recently, and I wouldn't call him terribly active even on less occupied days of yore. Thinking he would be expected to check into a 3 hour day with enough conviction to not only shoot him but also fake a scan on him doesn't really make sense to me.

Chris if people buy your claim, Sultan is lynched and you get town confirmed. The "I will never live past day 3" element of your play disappears when you consider you're not mislynching a town with it. Not sure why you're still defending that. It's kind of a minor part of the deal now.

I mean it's clearly a lie that you don't think town will policy lynch you based on your reaction to plum last game but if you assume it's a play to get the SK there is a lot more upside for scum Chris to make the play.

But really it's not that you made the play as much as how you made the play. Claiming a scam 5 minutes into the day is a good way to kill the productive discussion for the day. No way you're playing it that way as town, especially when it wasn't even an actual scan and just you fishing for a reaction or whatever.

Also I don't buy you using a vig shot on Sultan of all players after a 3 hour day cause you thought he was "intentionally hiding" either. Like no layer of your claim or play makes sense as town.

Also I would say town roleblocker both being in the game and hitting the scum who targeted Sultan is the zebra here. Scum roleblocker is pretty common but town roleblocker isn't a terribly common role, and it also needs to hit the right target as well.

I can kind of see how it makes sense to make a big play to take out an SK, but putting 2 lives on a single play seems like a steep price even for that. I also still don't understand how they would knowthat it would be worth it. At best they could have figured out that targeting sultan failed, but if they received a RB message how can they have assumed "untargetable SK" rather than "got stuck by a stay RB". When I hear hoof beats I think 'Horse', not 'Zebra'.

It's just so messy.

Here's the thing. Two miscalculations were made to get to that point. The first was Chris expecting his gravy role claim to work. You considered his initial claim as stated would catch an untargetable SK, that's a little too convenient for me.

The second is that if Chris is scum bulletproof (or scumteam gambled that town doctor targeted Chris) this play from Lea is a lot cleaner. Lea expects that Sultan targeted Chris due to single kill, fakes a watch on Chris, if Sultan claims targeting Chris then her claim is a lot harder to call bs on.

It's only because Sultan claimed to target Cirrik, and Corrik claimed bulletproof, that things got really dicey

The simple answer to "were scum wanting to lay down two lives for an SK" is they weren't and it just played out that way.

On other suspicions if we assume scumteam put two lives down to secure the death of SK that also makes IGCD worth considering due to early hammer on him which seemed utterly pointless-- it's certainly possible as the day progressed Sultan may have done something dire like just openly claim SK or something, which scum may not have wanted to risk with two gambit claims out there.
