I might agree with you but last game he was really defensive when masterplum brought it up the idea that Chris might be autoscum if allowed to live a few days. That to me makes me think it's on his mind. He was pretty frustrated about having been lynched for that reason recently too in a game where he felt he'd been obvtown.

This game he hasn't had that same defensiveness either which is weird.

The fact of the matter is, I picked someone who didn't post yesterday so there's no reason not to reveal it. I am not preventing anyone from pursuing other leads.

You know better than to think that scum scan reveal immediately wouldn't actively work against town attempting to achieve anything today.

There are a lot of ways to begin a day that aren't just revealing a scan. Even if it's on a guy who hadn't posted yet. In fact I would argue not posting anything would have been better for town

He was also really lazy with the push on Ulti yesterday honestly. He was doing the Michael Cole "we just love to have fun out there" bit not actually trying to get anyone on it to commit to suspecting Ulti or not.

You line those up side by side and it really feels like a guy who just doesn't want town to lay any suspicions on the table.

I think Han was killed simply because he seemed to be thinking and not zerging, and probably that his first suspicion was right. If you want to remove town that are likely to be relevant to scumhunting he seems solid.

Because Chris is not so conceited to think that funneling an entire day's discussion into Sultan with a fakeclaim that says he's scum is smart. Not 3 hours in. Trying to completely strangle discussion on both day 1 and 2 seems like a really strong opening play to me as scum. By the time he's off the table the better town players are dead and we've wasted the first 3 days with gimme lynches

Town Chris just pushes for the Sultan lynch based on whatever, sees who gets on it, THEN claims

Claiming like this limits the useful information we can get because it becomes a simple "do you believe the claim" question (and really just tries to get town to mindlessly zerg the scan) and strangles the info the day can give you. Poor fundamentals to do it like that.

Which is why we should not only ignore the claim but also discuss other suspects, going to kill Chris later if it seems like he's the best option. Like Forceful Dragon and his non-committal borderline non-sensical (Guy at -2! not much happening here guys!) fluff posts or Scare and the sins of his predecessor

That being said "is the claim fake" and "what does Chris have to gain by trying to suicide rush here" has about been talked out and Chris is at -2 so I'm putting my vote back.

Consider my vote on both in spirit. Do oppose a Sultan lynch as I don't believe Chris would think bussing a teammate would give him a lot of credibility here. Would sooner see him cashing out.

On second inspection Chris also had two votes on him too before his claim.

I think causing as much chaos as possible seems like a good gameplan. Two for one + completely scrambling town content for the first two days sounds solid considering he's on borrowed time

That being said still like the Blade lynch. Han had voted Blade too without much a word in day 1. Maybe he was shot in part to suppress him from unpacking those suspicions since Chris was not a viable night 1 kill target.

Blade fought heavily against the Ulti lynch then voted him anyway because his lynch was "inevitable" while faking being upset about it when that hammer does not happen without his vote. He was absolutely the scummiest guy out of day 1, by far.

Claiming so early in the day not only pushes a bad lynch but also stifles discussion for that day as town is playing follow the cop

Don't buy a town Chris claiming so early. He's smart enough to know it's a poor way to play a power role. As such we should ignore the claim and maybe lynch him at the end of the day if no other good options present themselves
