They just show Smash in between those other games

1. Because it's the most popular
2. Because the other games typically are done in segments and need to be set up, whereas Smash is just pick up and play. You can't show too much of story based games, and like during Mario Party they said they specifically had a copy set up to start them out with certain items and such so they could show them off, because the randomness wouldn't have allowed it normally.

Also, it's pretty unfair to stick with the narrative of "Only 3 characters." The returning characters weren't just ported directly in. They still had to work on Snake and Wolf and Pichu and so on, and they weren't in the last installment, so it's a bit unfair to not count them, especially since you're basically trying to call this a port.

I'm just confused what people actually want that only a full sequel up to their standards could give that Ultimate isn't

There's pretty much close to 0 chance of a story mode either way
They haven't talked about modes much yet to even say "There are no new modes"
They've already revealed some pretty decent gameplay changes

Like, is the standard for "Sequel" just how many new characters there are?

Yeah, I definitely think the "Overworked employees which may result in horrible food" thing definitely applies to local places more than chains.

Local places are definitely more likely to have less employees that work longer, and less standardized practices. Like, a chain is usually "Cook X for Y amount of time" on everything to a robotic degree. A local place is likely to have a smaller staff who work more hours, so you could end up at the mercy of a stressed waitress who lets your food sit too long or a chef who is falling behind cooking for a packed house

EDIT: I've definitely had my order screwed up more often at local joints, even good ones

Then Weidman definitely drops out of the discussion, but you can't really consider "household name" completely without considering who draws, since just knowing somebody's name doesn't really mean much, whereas drawing power atleast suggests people are attaching that name to the sport and want to see them.

If going by just name, you start to get people like Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz getting up there, too.

Either way McGregor and Brock are probably above her regardless.

Also, that's why you can pull the trick of returning games/movies to Walmart and getting full price. It's literally the same UPC and they just change the price for 72 hours or whatever. Once that time passes, the game will scan at full price, so if you return it without a receipt, that's what you get.

Granted they keep track of how many times you do no receipt returns, so there's a limit.

No, he's right. That's typically why stores have such limited number of titles or sometimes not even at all, since they're filling from their own stock/warehouse instead of getting any new discounted stock.

Stores typically aren't worried about losing money on video games or DVDs. Stuff like that is specifically to get people into the store/online/etc., where the idea is that they'll see other stuff and buy more items that the store does make money on. And that's often why GameStop tends to not have the best sales, I assume.

Release timing definitely killed it for me. I don't really have the time to go to the movies a lot, and there was just stuff I wanted to see more. Saw Infinity War, saw Deadpool. Bit of a break, then I want to see Jurassic World and Ant-Man. Solo just happened to become the "Redbox because they don't take long to get there anyway" movie for me out of the group because it's just a spinoff. Had it been a mainline sequel I may have reconsidered.

EDIT: It also feels more skippable than most. Like, Ant-Man's gonna have something to do with the next Avengers movie, so if you miss that you actually miss something. If you miss Solo, it doesn't matter. You're not missing anything important plot-wise. Marvel and Star Wars are tough to compare because there aren't really any "spin-off" Marvel movies. They all connect.

I will say that whether it's good or bad, the amount of reviewers I've seen saying stuff like "Jurassic World is devoid of social commentary" is kinda insane
