Irrespective of that observation, Vince made a lot of people happy as well as miserable. He played up to the "carnie" origins of wrestling as long as he could. Better or worse, he built a megalith with WWE and cemented a legacy most would only dream of. He had a special eye and special perspective for his company. That will be missed.

I think wishing death on someone is extreme and says more about how much of a douchebag they are than the person they wish death on. Vince may have done some shit, but pulling a Ryback and saying, "I want him and his old ass mother to fucking die." is pretty classless.

It's fine he's retired to go, "hooray," or whatever, but still respect that he worked his ass off to make WWE what it is. That's the decent response anyway. But this is social media: decency and class can't compete with memes.

Excuse my lack of encyclopedic knowledge of MCU Thor but...isn't his avoidance of real issues/relationships kind of totally in character? He only knows how to fight to relieve conflict/stress. The guy's a ripped god with severe relationship issues. And you think he's just going to sit down and have a meaningful conversation and pour out his soul and talk about all his weaknesses and failures? That's crazy. He's going to do exactly what he does, which is to joke and avoid the actual issues that he can't punch in the face.

You honestly dont think he had meaningful dialogue with Jane? That opinion is surprising.

All the stuff in biscuit's Thor 4 post is absolutely true, yet I still think it's an okay to good movie. If I compare it to Ant Man and the Wasp - its closest MCU counterpart - I think it's a better rom-com. As an action film / epic Marvel movie it does not work (even though its best scene is that black and white action scene).

Sure for films but that doesn't explain why every series has been unnecessarily short. I'm pretty sure every series would have benefitted from at least one more episode to flesh somethings out. Hell they even cut a finished episode from What If... just to announce they are going to move it to the second season.

Being honest, the real problem is I once used to be subscribed to a lot of those channels that seemed to base their whole identity on bashing TLJ and other "woke" stuff because I genuinely knew no better about their politics at the time. Then it got to the point where I unsubscribed from all of them and recently the only time of day I'd give any of them is checking on Midnight's Edge every now and then because they were a genuinely good source for film news even as late as 2019 and I hope to dear god they get their crap together only to find out EACH AND EVERY TIME that it's always worse than I could have imagined, acting like Ezra Miller and Amber Heard were only kept onboard for their DC projects while WB canned Johnny Depp because of Miller being non-binary and Heard being a woman (missing a lot of context like WB having kept Depp on for Crimes of Grindelwald which led to a lot of PR headaches) and attributing Lightyear's underwhelming opening weekend to the prominence of a lesbian couple in the movie even though nothing about that was advertised ahead of time beyond Pixar staff saying they had re-inserted a same-sex kiss that had been previously struck down by higher-ups as protest against Disney refusing to retract funding for the infamous Florida bill, and I outright did research into it to see that there were probably other reasons even regarding the film's own content which would explain it way better. From that point on I stopped watching their stuff unless it popped into my suggested feed, at which point I'd usually turn it off after like a minute because I knew things weren't going right. The main spokesperson, at the start of the channel's review of the new Thor, described Multiverse of Madness as a "bait-and-switch" which is not remotely the vibe I got from the film at all and from having seen an earlier video I knew he only described it as such because it didn't live up to fan speculation (mostly surrounding cameos) and even compared it to The Last Jedi, a movie full of actual bait-and-switch moments, in that regard.

Even aside from that I still have a general idea what the anti-progressive crowd is up to since another channel I follow chronicles their ridiculous antics (among many other things). I could rant more about Midnight's Edge but I'll spare the thread for now.

Captain Marvel was just a basic movie and rushed as all hell. They scrambled to get it out before Endgame and it hurt both movies a little because of it.

But no it isn't bad by any means. Brie Larson is a fine choice to play the character, she just could have used more time practicing the role. Hopefully it will be remedied in the sequel.

I had the same thought. Tease a Noir/Soldier Boy face-off until Homelander steps in and kills him. Works as both Homelander being pissed about not knowing he had a father as well as a last ditch effort to impress Soldier Boy.

I guess they kinda needed it to scare the piss out of the remaining Seven and Ashley, but they were already terrified anyway (except A-Train, who was honestly my favorite part of this season).
