A lot of samurai did use spears but that's because not every samurai was wealthy and swords were expensive. Same with why swords weren't common in European armies. But I'm not sure I believe that if you could afford a sword you wouldn't use it. Especially because someone wealthy enough to afford a sword wasn't going to be fighting in a spear line anyway.

I should say, longswords/katanas specifically since short swords would be used in close quarters when spears were ineffective

Why am I punished for my internet being crappy and disconnecting but we're all just supposed to accept their servers being crappy and disconnecting?

I'm a weird case because I like to follow the league, watch analysis videos, etc but actually sitting through a 3 hour game to me is torture

Bloblobber. Also I like the Splattershot Pro but hate its kit. Angle Shooter is somehow a worse Point Sensor, and Point Sensor is dogshit.

Angle shooter is 1000% better than point sensor and works great with splattershot pro. If you hit 2 shots with the pro and the enemy gets out of your range you can kill confirm with the angle shooter which has insane range.

I'm the opposite. I suck at midrange weapons because my force of habit is to rush the enemy. With really long range weapons, it gives me enough room to not do it in the heat of the moment and with close range it's ideal, but with midrange I end up just taking away the best advantage they have lol

I mained spatlings in 2. I preferred the hydra but you can be more aggressive with the heavy for sure. Sucks they ruined the mini.

I'm using more close ranged shooters this time around though personally. They seem to be the best for solo q since they can slay and turf fairly well. Certain weapons I really like but are really dependent on your teammates.

I feel like matchmaking was messed up the first day, it was obvious some of the people I was playing were really unskilled and I could get away with things I really shouldn't have been able to. By day two things seemed to have levelled out but it took me a bit to adjust because I got used to being able to do things I wouldn't be able to against more skilled players.

Maybe you went through something similar?

I'm a huge fan of the series but the entire time I was watching season 5 I thought it was trash. Basically all the interactions between characters were self contained, cheesy dialogue, Silvers right hand womans entire character. Everyone's performances except maybe Johnny's felt super phoned in at this point and the entire season just seemed to drag it's heels.

Then I look it up after and it seems universally loved. I don't get it.

Edit: Not to mention how the entire tone of the story has completely flipped from Johnny finding himself/getting his life together to basically a karate supervillain show. I know it was going that way but this season went full on with it.

But yes, people who like a series that is known and popular for it's vast and intricate lore and world building don't like when said worldbuilding is shit on. If you like it as a casual viewer cool, but it's dense to not realize why people wouldn't enjoy it.

I had a little over 100 hours, finished the epilogue and junk and started getting a lot of repeat dialogue. I'm sure there's still hidden stuff but by the time you beat the epilogue you won't get random new dialogue.

I've mostly been using Dualie Squelchers in 3. It was my secondary after Sploosh in 2, but with all the open chokepoints in 3, Sploosh is useless to me. I went from B- to B last night, but I've barely played Anarchy and started at B- with the data import. In the TC and SZ matches I've played, I actually have managed to splat people around as much as I've been splatted, depending on the teams.

But yeah with squelchies I'll shoot at an aerospray or splattershot or whatever from a distance, and usually hit once at most as they walk up and murder me no problem. Once I was engaging another squelchers user who was firing uphill at me and hit me multiple times while none of my shots connected.

Last night I tried out some rollers and lost all like ten turf wars in the process. Of course there's an adjustment period with new weapons, but that seemed excessive. I did manage some satisfying splats, but some flicks definitely underperformed. Although testing on the balloons in the lobby, I guess the flicks can also be inconsistent if you're more than a foot or two away, so that's fair. Kinda disappointed at how risky it is to ink the ground with rolling though.

Are you dodge rolling? Afaik squelchers have really inconsistent aim until you dodge. Also, you shouldn't worry too much about getting kills using squelchers, they're not generally slayer weapons. Focus on getting enemy attention and not dying to make kills easier for slayers.

Rollers rely heavily on sharking/ambushing. You'll lose pretty much every straight up fight with a player of similar skill. Most of them also suck at turfing so if you can't reliably get kills they're not good in turf war. Also, don't use the roll. Vertical flicks should be your main mode of attack.

Maybe look into weapon roles if you haven't and see what appeals to your playstyle.

The only person I can think of who has actually been "canceled" successfully is Milo Yannoupolous. They kicked him off everything and he sorta just fizzled out. But after that, the people who like these people will just go out of their way to find them.

Absolutely pisses me off how some people play Salmon Run. Completely ignoring the little guys and avoiding bosses like the tall laser thing and the trash can missile guy. I die more from those three things than anything else in Salmon Run.

Yeah the flyfish is annoying as hell. Doesn't help there's only one way to deal with it.

Cohozuna was possible in the earlier difficulties. Later on, it feels almost impossible. Some weapons are significantly better, and with coordination I'm sure it's possible. Generally it doesn't feel like killing the mini bosses for the egg launch is worth it, but it's better for like rollers to kill mobs and the rest the focus on killing Cohozuna.

Also if the map becomes small, it's basically gg tbh. If the map extends, you lure him to the far edges and just keep wailing on him

I think it's supposed to be something you don't win every time you see him so it's a big deal when you do. Having said that, they need to adjust it because it's beyond ridiculous. In all the times I've played I've only beat him once, even with teams where we've absolutely destroyed all 3 waves. Either make the egg launcher stronger or your main weapons do more damage. I've also yet to receive a gold scale. I did get enough silver ones for the green slopsuit though so that's alright.

This is so ridiculous. We were 2 seconds from winning rain maker and someone on the other team ragequit so we didn't get the win. They need to fix this shit.

It's really infuriating that they count connection errors as losses.
