IMO, it is the best sport you can watch on TV

No other sport has the better highlights than the NBA from nice dunks, to nice layups, nice shot blocks, and more

Because it's not the NBA I grew up with.

Not really much into watching sports.

I dont enjoy watching sports, as a rule.

Zero interest. In Basketball in general.

Rules are too subjective and often aren't enforced (like traveling, flopping, etc.)
It isn't really a team sport; one player has too much pull on game outcomes.

I'm not from the US and don't care about sports anyway

I spent 19 years not interested in any sports

I only started watching the NFL because family I moved in with was watching.

Now I watch the NFL because it fills a good chunk of the year.

And because Ratt Myan used to be good.

I have no reason to watch the NBA

I like it, but I find it boring mostly knowing any given year with few exceptions which of a handful of teams have a shot. And the era of LeBron dominating the East was supremely dull, which was further compounded by four straight Warriors/Cavs Finals.

Even though I fully recognize that the level and pace of play is higher in the NBA, I just honestly prefer the collegiate game for the variety and especially March Madness.

I'd still consider myself a Bulls fan, but I'd put that fandom below the Cubs/Blackhawks/Bears/Fighting Illini.

Only sports I care about is hockey and baseball

I respect basketball but I don't enjoy watching it. It took me a while to realize why.

In hockey, football, baseball, soccer etc when points are scored it's a huge deal but in basketball it happens constantly so the excitement isn't there for me. Unless there's like a minute left and they're within 5 points of each other, then I could make that argument.

No hating on Bball fans either. Just not my cup of tea.

Basketball is one that I just don't understand from a tactical level. Doesn't help that the reffing is pretty bad and it's just generally a no-defense game so the score just keeps ramping up. Doesn't feel all that interactive or interesting, tbh.

This. I know the rules for most major sports, so I can follow along if I absolutely have to watch. But I'd rather stream a show, or play games.

For all the people who think it's boring, just watch the warriors. Curry is actually entertaining to casual fans. Most other superstars are not.

Don't have a team

I'm just not into sports.

Sports are extraordinarily boring, and I dont really understand the team/player celebrity worship that goes into it . Curated cuts can be neat to watch just to see feats of pure athleticism, but the overall experience is just uninteresting.

Because if I'm watching a sport its baseball.

I enjoy watching during the playoffs and some regular season headline matches. I generally don't care for the 82 games regular season when half the teams in the league feel like they are there to earn a participation trophy. (To be fair, I feel the same about baseball.) If something amazing happens, I will see it during a sports talk show or on the internet so I don't need to bother watching the game.

I already follow soccer and adding another sport would just take up more time than I'd like.

No team, and despite the fact that I know theres tactics going on, Im not really interested in learning. So it ends up looking like both teams scoring back and forth with one team pulling ahead sometimes.

Because its boring up until the last 5-10 minutes (and thats if it isnt a blow out, in which case the entire game is boring).

In most sports, getting a point is a big exciting deal. In professional basketball, its expected that the team carrying the ball will get it in the basket and each individual basket can matter so little. Because of this it turns into a game of 90% nothing, with some mild excitement (not when your team gets a point but when the opposing team misses), and mild disappointment (when your team misses) sprinkled in.

As stated, if its a close game, the last few minutes can still be exciting, but in that case just make the whole game 10 minutes long. Ill admit people like sports for different reasons and Im aware Im in the minority for disliking basketball but I just dont see the draw. To each their own though.

I just don't care about sports.

mostly because there are no big plays. it's a game of attrition and tons of redundancy. nothing really stands out until the end of the last quarter where the game really starts.

hockey and soccer are kind of the same way for me. there is no sense of progress, you just go back and forth until you score a goal. blink and you miss it.

football and baseball are pretty well paced for me. football has a shit load of stoppages, but at least each drive has a relatively slow burn of a buildup and payoff mixed with big plays. baseball doesn't have a lot of stoppages per se, its just a slow sport in general. but that allows it to be tactical and have big buildups and payoffs of different degrees.

I'm a weird case because I like to follow the league, watch analysis videos, etc but actually sitting through a 3 hour game to me is torture

I was kind of a fan till '95. Now I just don't care, and none of the highlights have convinced me that I should.

Too boring, I only really watch hockey and mma. I can watch baseball, basketball and football every once in a while and get invested in a certain game, but they're not my sports.

And MMA has the best highlights in sports.

I'm an NHL fan who watches 200+ games a season, the NHL and NBA basically run side by side. If the NBA ran their season during a different time, i'd try to get into it more.

I was born, raised, and still live in a city that lost its NBA team more than 50 years ago.

Its people waving and bouncing a ball around and then litterally placing it in a hoop. Being able to run 3 steps with the ball in the hand is just kinda of a bad rule. I think even netball makes a better designed sport.

In football (soccer) you dont have hands for feet to grab hold of the balls and dance around with tricks thats super hard for opponents to disposses you. Which is why i would rank Soccer and Hockey at the top for team sports. Volley ball is also decent. But basketball is below rugby, american football and cricket/baseball to me.

Watching other people do things is boring. Same reason reality TV is trash.
