It's frustrating getting teammates who are so bad that you'd literally be better off in a 3v4 because at least they wouldn't be feeding. I'm talking people who end with like a k/d ratio of like 1 and 10.

I usually play Salmon Run when clam blitz is on. I like when all modes were ranked separately, now clam blitz tanks my whole ranking so I can't even play it for the hell of it.

I can't play turf war, people do too many weird things. I got rushed by a splattershot pro in my last turf war game.

Someone in this game went 0 and 11. I don't think I've ever seen that.

What I'm saying is, people are going to go for the most kills or most turf ink to get a medal to justify that they were doing well.

In higher ranks it won't matter as much because people will realize that the medals are meaningless. But in lower ranks people will link their contribution to their medals which isn't necessarily a good indicator.

I'm not sure how I feel about them adding medals to ranked, and especially giving more points for them. I feel like it's going to make people chase medals rather than try to win the game.

Like, getting a medal for most inked turf isn't a good thing if you got it from inking turf no where near objective or your teammates, but people will see a gold medal and assume they did their part and actually be rewarded for it because they'll still get more points in a losing effort.

Edit: And vice versa, people who did their role well and contributed well but didn't get a medal because they weren't over inking or chasing kills that don't matter may feel like they underperformed and try to do too much next time, leading to feeding in the short term or learning bad habits overall.

Man. It's annoying that I can pinpoint a lot of my bad habits but can't help making them in the moment.

Like, at the start of the game I'll be like "I need to do this, this, and this" but then immediately go into panic mode and end up overplaying.

I don't really care personally. Would it have been cool to see a live action version of the classic Ariel? Maybe, but I'm not the target audience for Disney movies anymore. If I enjoy one that's cool but they're not making these movies to stoke the nostalgia of people in their late 20's.

This is a new Ariel for a new generation, and more power to them for making them how they want to.

If you want to see a movie with a white, red-haired Ariel, well, there's one of those already. Enjoy.

Can someone explain the crab tank to me? I've never seen it used or have used it effectively. It's basically always popped into an auto kill or just fizzles out. It seems like an actual detriment more than anything. Looks cool though I guess. But no idea how to actually use it to any advantage

Aerospray isn't that great because of rng. At higher ranks people with better aim/weapons will usually delete them.

A lot of weapons turf almost as wel but have better kill potential.

Whether she's fine with it or not, if it wasn't pre-planned it was a dick move. Turning someone's moment into a bit is pretty classless.

That said I feel like from her choice of words she's fine with it. She would probably have to say she didn't mind either way, but her tweet seems laissez-faire enough that it seems like she doesn't. But again, not really the point.

Nah. Jordan wanted to wrap up Wheel of Time & knew he was dying so he wrote a massive outline for what turned out to be the last 3 books just so someone could finish it since he knew he didn't have enough time left to write it himself.

Martin, on the other hand, has said he doesn't want someone else finishing it if he dies.

He just doesn't want people to realize he hasn't actually done anything for someone to use as an outline.

Disagree. People watch shows that are either already cancelled or renewal is not confirmed. Thats essentially what this is. In general, people will still consume incomplete art.

Different beast. TV show creators don't have any say over whether or not their shows are cancelled. Besides, when incomplete art is consumed it's usually because the art was never completed for a reason outside of the creators control. Not because the artist made their money then said, "Eh, fuck it"

I'm not an ASOIAF fan but why would you respect someone making a ton of money on a series and then essentially abandoning it?

When someone starts buying a series there's a tacit agreement that that series is going to be finished at some point, or people wouldn't have bought it in the first place. If people hadn't have bought it in the first place, GRRM wouldn't have the financial freedom to be working on all the pet projects he wants today.

Adults can like things for kids. It doesn't change that it's made for kids, and if you're playing pokemon and complaining it doesn't have the narrative depth of Breaking Bad the game isn't the problem.

It's a kids show/manga. It's simplistic, the characters are 1 dimensional, and it's loaded with action. It does what it intends to do perfectly. If you're 40 years old and don't like dbz anymore there's a reason for that.

I coulda swore I remember Pikachu's tail having a black tip at the end of it. I also knew for the longest time that Tinkerbell flew onto the screen during every Disney Intro with the castle and would pull out her magic wand, before recently discovering that Tinkerbell does not appear in any of the Disney openings. wtf?

You have to factor in intimidation though. It's not overly detailed. He just doesn't care of the style of his videos it seems. He references the Death Stranding video where Dunkey said the game was trash and was deliberately throwing himself off ledges to demonstrate the point.

I find myself agreeing. I've watched Dunkey stuff and I'm just not sure who it's for. It's part criticism, part playing a character, part deliberately finding things to make jokes about, and part trying too hard to come up with comedic moments to make a silly voice at.

I just started watching him and I find him pretty good. It's easy to tell when he's joking and when he's making a legitimate point if you can parse tone or just don't have a hate-on for the guy.

That was my main in Splatoon 2. I like the new bow and splatana weapons but I have trouble using them.

I feel like The Warriors is the only movie where the video game adaptation is actually superior to the movie.

If I was going to do a school shooting and the school had an armed guard, then I would walk up to him from behind, pull out a gun and shoot him in the head.
It removes my closest and biggest threat, it gives me more firepower, most likely a bulletproof west and as a bonus, he is most likely carrying a keycard that gives him access to all closed classrooms.
I mean, an armed guard that cant access rooms where the shooter is feels kinda pointless.

Real life isn't a video game and average people aren't Agent 47 who are just going to calmly walk up to an armed soldier and shoot him in the back of the head without him noticing.
