| Romulox28 08/28/17 4:55:28 PM #4 | my theory about GTAV is that the story is very meta and is basically a reflection of the franchise, past, present, and future. the story in GTAV is actually the most shallow of the series (barring GTA3) and I think that's a key component of the game's meta narrative. you have michael, who is the washed up guy, basically the CJ or Tommy Vercetti after you beat the game, you have Franklin, who is those people new to GTA, doing the typical rags to riches story that we all know, and then you have Trevor, who is the craziness and unpredictability of GTA. Michael (the old player who's played VC, San Andreas, IV, etc) wants nothing more than to go back to his old glory days again and revisit the past. Franklin, the new player, wants nothing more than to get to where Michael is. They end up hooking up with Trevor, who brings them into this GTA world that we have seen before, and their conclusion is kind of somewhere in the middle. i have always felt that the game is basically the writers taking the old fans and the new fans and taking them on this ride to see how they can exist together in the future. my point in this rambling post is that since GTAV is not just another GTA but rather the writers re-evaluating what they are doing with their 15+ year old franchise, i always viewed Trevor just casually murdering Johnny as a way of distancing GTAV from GTA4 and showing a disregard for the continuity of the franchise. Lost Vikings was solid though. nah i play PC games too, especially blizzard games eston posted... I would say they changed quite a bit after WoW gained prominence. Granted that's been a long time now i think a lot of the decline in WoW was (for the most part) just that it got old and gaming changed in the 11 years or so since it came out pegusus123456 posted... They're all still pretty good. Except for Warlords of Draenor, that was probably the only WoW expansion that I would outright call bad.
