I don't think its fair to count mario party, smash bros, and mario kart for gcn and not for n64, though, and many people I know prefer the originals of some of the others (e.g., mario sunshine and TTYD)

you're probably right overall about the library, though. I had a PS2 so I always forget it had more than just exclusives lol

my thing about most of the nintendo "party" games on n64 is that they were fun at the time, especially since 4 player local multiplayer was pretty much a nintendo exclusive at the time (nobody had the multitap adapter for ps1 lol), but they were all more or less proof of concept games that were immediately replaced later on.

like the original smash bros for example, it was a fun game and a great concept, but ultimately shallow and there wasnt too much content, and then melee comes out that adds a lot to the combat and throws in a ton more content, making the original basically obsolete.

now if you told someone to pick their favorite smash bros game i think you'd have to be intentionally trying to be edgy to say that you prefer Smash Bros 1 over Melee/Brawl/4.

yea i think it was a lot better imo

you could probably count the real top games for the system on one hand (top of my head: two zeldas, mario 64, two banjos).

then you had some fun party games that were entertaining and were the kinds of games you didnt really see on ps1, but they weren't really classic games like OoT and would be outclassed with sequels (mario kart, smash bros, mario party, etc).

beyond that there isnt much and you're left with a console that was really expensive and had one of the worst controllers in gaming history.

gamecube was better, with a more traditional controller and disc format that helped a lot.

i think nintendo did a better job with their exclusives on gamecube (metroid games, zelda ww and tp, melee, mario sunshine, paper mario ttyd, animal crossing, pikmin, fire emblem, etc) and they even had a few decent third party games like resident evil 4 and mgs twin snakes.

obviously the gamecube started to tank pretty quickly and the third party support dried up, but i think in retrospect the gamecube has aged a lot better and there are more games that have a legacy than with the n64

being inexperienced and shy is no reason to bleed a family member to financial ruin, you have to cut him off. you're not helping him by paying these bills because it's not going to improve his situation and it's not sustainable for you long-term.

i feel so sad for people that dislike the taste of beer, you're all really missing out.

i hated the taste of all alcoholic drinks besides the easiest to drink shit until i turned 21 and started drinking more socially (prior to that it was all just binge drinking with the sole intention of getting drunk). once you get used to it beer is fantastic and there is a surprising amount of nuance to it. love finding a new craft brewery and getting a flight

tbh i would break up with my gf if she didnt want to have children. it's a huge dealbreaker and if you got married you'd have to compromise on what is probably the largest, most important aspect of your future.

finances one scares me too because it's just going to lead to fights over money and you won't feel like a team, it'll be easier to hide irresponsible spending etc. this is probably another dealbreaker for me, or at the very least a major red flag.

don't care about the last name one. my wife took my last name but i said i was cool with it either way

Played 2 hours of multiplayer in Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, mostly Team Deathmatch with some Kill Confirmed. Highlight of the night was a KC game on Bog where I ran around with the Kamchatka shotgun and confirmed 44 tags out of the 65 my team needed to reach the score limit. I finished with 25 kills, 22 deaths, 44 confirms, 13 denies, and the highest total score in the lobby by far. Some jackass on my team finished with over 50 kills but only confirmed 4 of them.

how is MWR? i have fond memories of putting a ridiculous amount of time into CoD4 back when I was in high school but I do remember the game being stupidly unbalanced and I heard that Activision is adding in a lot of crap that players don't like

if you live in an area that gets cold you'll still get mostly winter weather, there's no major holidays that get you off of work or school, no good movies or games come out in that month, etc

only thing good in march is St. Patty's Day and even that sucks, just makes the bars really crowded for a day, prices get jacked up, and drunk assholes with fake IDs pick fights with each other

Correct, they were speaking at the DNC to get you to vote for Hillary Clinton. They told a heartbreaking (and relatable to any parents) story about a son who died for his country and how Hillary Clinton would support this person more than the other candidate, Donald Trump. The end goal here is to use this emotional appeal to get you to support and ultimately vote for Hillary Clinton. This is textbook stuff

Ideally you should be making your opinions based on facts and logic, not being swayed by emotion. Sometimes it works out ok, but emotion can be good or bad.

it's just a nonsensical mess the entire time, where zemo manipulates world events in such an unpredictable way, yet with such intricate detail that he is able to get iron man to fly to siberia to watch a VHS tape. the other solution is that zemo could have just emailed zemo the fucking video or something.

and dont forget that the movie also employs the "there's no time to explain!" trope too as Captain America realizes that this is all a setup but doesn't have time to explain to Tony Stark that it is, even though he could have just, you know, sent a text message to Tony saying "Bucky innocent, Zemo set him up, pls call 4 more info" and have avoided a ton of bullshit.
