I live on staten island and I have to agree with this, but not everyone has it cause it's pretty diverse like the rest of nyc. those that do, though... ugh

i guess it's just the people that ive met from staten island that are the most "vocal" there, because all the ones ive met talk like extras from Jersey Boys.

i used to work with a staten island guy who had an extremely strong italian american accent, said shit like mootzadell, monagaut, etc and then it turned out he wasnt even italian at all, his parents were both russian jews lol

What if you're unemployed and have no chance of ever replaying that?

if it's a low amount and you can't pay then the hospital will prob work out a payment plan with you or see if you can qualify for medicaid. if it's a huge amount you'll probably have to declare bankrupcy and go through that whole process.

i am by no means an expert on this in any way shape or form so someone else can probably better answer than me, but i think a lot of times it's not advantageous for a hospital to just bankrupt someone because they get nothing out of it.

it's not like if you default on a home mortgage or car loan, where the bank can just take back your house or car; the hospital can't take back your heart surgery. so i think in this case a hospital would be more likely to get as much out of you through payment plans as they can rather than just hitting you with a 100k bill, bankrupting you, and getting nothing in return

An alarming trend I've noticed among a very large amount of men in 2017 is that they possess almost none of the characteristics that have made men who they are for thousands of years. In fact, these creatures can only be considered "men" in the sense that they have aged the correct number of years to be considered adult males.

These men (most of whom are liberals) tend to have an enormous sense of entitlement, shirk responsibility, fear commitment, and only opt to do things when it is directly rewarding to them. In a sense, they are not real men but rather adult children, with a narrow mindset and no capacity to look at the "big picture."

No area is this more evident in than when you will see many of these "men" (liberals) talk about how they refuse to date a woman simply because she is a single mom, and they don't want to "raise another man's kid."

This is disgusting. Not only are these men choosing loneliness and isolation over a healthy adult relationship because of a human life, but they are also depriving themselves of one of the greatest joys of life (fatherhood) simply because they did not contribute DNA to this child.

For the last 2 years, I have been dating a single mom, and it has been the most rewarding experience of my life. Aiden, Braiden, and Caiden are like my own children to me, and even though I do not share a DNA bond with them and they call me by my first name, I feel a powerful and immutable connection. It takes a big man to want to become a dad to these kids, to help a single mom in her noble quest, and to deal with the fathers of Aiden, Braiden, and Caiden, and I believe I am that man.

It is very disheartening to see so many young men fall into the trap of entitlement and selfishness - to avoid family life based on some silly preconceived notions, to feel they are entitled to have a family on THEIR terms, and to only have children when it provides some sense of satisfaction to them. To me, it personally fulfilling to watch Aiden, Braiden, and Caiden every other weekend (hearing them say "oh, hey Pete" when I come over is one of the most satisfying things in a "father's" life), and I don't need the satisfaction that I somehow contributed to the conception of these children.

The American "education" system is generally pretty bad.

Why do you think it's important to study religion in school?

I mean I agree it's important to know who Jesus/Mohammad/Moses/etc is but what else is important to know about religion from an academic basis?

friendship is a younger man's game

best you'll get past 27 is couples friends or coworkers that you talk about sports with, and past your mid 30s it will be exclusively the parents of children that are friends with your children, and you make stilted small talk with someone you have absolutely no compatibility with, while sitting within earshot of your kids who choose their friendships based on the age of the other person

saying the cost of the (optional) reception is too high isnt really a good reason to not get married imo. it's like saying you don't want to graduate from college because you don't want to have a grad party lol.

Disagree, I WISH the reception was optional, but a lot of women want that as part of the whole marriage thing.

If she is willing to forgo the reception and sign some papers, then you ARE afraid of commitment.

On the other hand, if she is expecting a wedding bash with a reception it's not just a commitment issue.

Weddings are far more complicated then some people make them out to be.

idk you can always do something simple for a reception. and dont forget that guests will bring you cash gifts and this could end up covering the entire cost of the wedding.

eh that's kind of bullshit. i dont know your gf but most likely your girl doesnt want to get married because she just wants to have a giant super expensive party, she wants a lifelong commitment from her boyfriend.

saying the cost of the (optional) reception is too high isnt really a good reason to not get married imo. it's like saying you don't want to graduate from college because you don't want to have a grad party lol.

in two weeks i will be attending a wedding where the couple is getting married in a park and having their reception in a bar with homemade food. if you want the lifelong commitment aspect of marriage, you'll make the wedding work financially.

the question is, do you want that level of commitment? This is not something that you can negotiate, this is pretty much the most important area of compatibility that adult couples need to have

yes, rewatch a lot of the earlier episodes and it makes sense. ted & robin have always been the main focus.

the reason the ending sucks so much is that the show went on way too long and so you kind of lose focus on the original point. there's no way that the writers anticipated their show going on for 9 seasons and viewers ended up loving the mother and all the characters too much

exactly. ive been thinking about this finale since i watched it yesterday and it still seems surreal. i half expected that scene to end with sansa waking up in bed, it just seems so out of character for everyone, cheesy, and borderline nonsensical given the 7 seasons of buildup. only way i feel this kind of an ending for littlefinger makes sense is if the actor has some kind of terminal illness or some similar situation where he needs to get written off the show ASAP
