I keep things to just my family. When it comes right down to it, they're the ones that are going to be there when it really matters anyway.
I mean at my job there's only a few other guys working there at that time and we're all in separate areas so there's little interaction. Plus even the closest one to my age is still 25 years older than me and I'm 35.
And friends from back in school? That's approaching twenty years ago. We all went our separate ways long ago by now. It happens.

Idk. My senior year was government/economics and that was the first book of any historical nature that had Clinton in it as our current president. This was 99/00.
My history books in high school were still all circa the early 90s and if they would mention the current era at all it was Bush 41 that was featured. History books in junior high were all about Russia and the cold war but at least there it was semi forgivable since that was '93-'96 and more current. Still old though.

What is even the point of owning a new home these days? And I mean one of these cookie cutter army camp looking pos things in manufactured "neighborhoods". I inherited my childhood home so I'm a different story. But growing up in the 80s-90s every single friend and family member had a home. Every home had a yard, front and back. A normal home. Everyone was different, some had a pool and yard, some just a huge yard, some had fruit trees, etc. A yard, a real yard was always a part of a home. And becoming an adult owning a home, the desire to have a home was that you had the yard. You could do what you wanted with it. Add things, remove things whatever you wanted. Raise kids with a treehouse and dogs like me and my brothers had, like my parents had, like their parents had.

Today in SoCal, all these tract homes are horrid. They sell for 300-500k, they're all poorly made and they have no yards. They cram 4 of these homes on the same amount of property mine is on. They're glorified apartments. There's no yard. You could literally stand at the back door and spit and hit the back perimeter fence. What the hell do people buy these things for. Not to mention the nazi-esq HOA they're all apart of so you have absolutely zero ability to make your house yours. It's madness.

I read a little from another site that I assume is originally from that site.
I guess the big takeaways if any of it's true which who knows is Rey is a reincarnation of the first force user, Snoke can switch bodies and is actually well liked in the galaxy, Luke hates Snoke, Luke wants Rey trained quickly to kill Snoke, Luke left to find out why the Jedi are always losers. Anakin and Yoda show up as force ghosts and they can now be "killed", whatever that means. I suppose it's plausible since we know nothing about the movie.

Sorry i can't be assed to care about morons that jump into a lions den and then proceed to kick the baby cubs in the face then get mauled by the mother lion. Fair, and next. This idiot dug his own grave and you have to be especially stupid to be in adulthood and do what he did. Who cares, seriously..

You have to have an iq on par with literal brain damage to go to nk willingly and then intentionally do things to piss off the tyrannical govt. He's a smacked ass moron and he earned it. There is no "victim blaming" deflection bs here. He's not a victim, he brought this on himself 100%. No contest. Period.

This.
Why do so many people seem to think that our precious american rights follow us wherever we go. "I'm a precious american, I'm a national fucking treasure. I can act like an ass at home and something like this would get me a slap on the wrist." Etc, etc. Well newsflash asshole. You're not in the US! You're american rights don't follow you wherever you go! That NK is horrible isn't the point here. Everyone knows that. No one should be crying "victim blaming". It is his fault. Period.

You see this every once in a while in the news. Some asshole american goes to another country and acts like an asshole. Gets arrested and punished according to their laws/system. The american people back home outrage that a US citizen is being punished. That jackass that got caned back in the 90s. Every time some stupid mountain climber goes to some hellhole like Afghanistan to rock climb and gets caught. "But he's an american! He's just an innocent world traveler" Go fuck yourselves. Well since a couple asked about my choices.

Gears of War 4: Hated what they did to Horde. Boring characters. Seeing the originals around late in the story just made it all the more painful that you were stuck with Generic McBland and friends. The mp needs to utilize rolling lobbies. The worst was playing a Gears game where 8 of 22 chapters see you fighting nothing but generic robots. Because that's what I loved Gears for you know. The fucking robots.

XCX: Loved XC. Together with Lost Odyssey and Skyrim it's the best rpg of the last decade. XCX is the antithesis of XC. Mute create a character lead. Story and characters were woefully poor. And I have to tell you, I never experienced music in a game that could send me over the edge into pure hatred of it until XCX. I guess it makes sense. There's a lot of music, especially from the old FFs that is so great it elevates everything else. Well I discovered to opposite of that is true.
No explanations for the combat mechanics and the messiest HUD I've ever seen. XCX is all about it's world's size and mindless exploration. But without good combat and next to no story it's in the service of nothing. That's just mho though.
So happy to see it's devs come right out and say that with XC2 they're focusing on characters and story. And thank the living lord the composer responsible for XCX is nowhere near this one.

I was in hs twenty years ago and clearly things have changed. My youngest brother just graduated this month and I know the CA requirements are different for books you have to read.
So I have to ask. Other than chalking it all up to just being shitty standards and since I saw it mentioned above.
Why is Into The Wild a required reading in hs now? My brother had to read it and it baffled all of us as to why. He hated it btw. What possible value does the state of CA seem to think that book and that story have? Either literary wise or as a life lesson?
To not be a total jackass? Because honestly according to him the teacher painted it as the exact opposite, like a go find what makes you happy type lesson. Which is just insane because the only point to that story is the guy was a dumbass and nature took it's course.

The "official" decision in September will be nothing more than a publicity event now instead of the official decision date.

Rowing is supposedly to be a Perris Lake which is a dump about 20 miles from me. Well that was in their plans for the '24 ones anyway.
