My point is if you "sound it out" based on what those letters put together usually sound like in English, then a typical American who doesn't know Japanese would not derive "Ket Shee" from "Cait Sith". But people here are suggesting everyone should have, which is ignorant and absurd.

English pronunciation of "Cait Sith" is not "Ket Shee". It's only natural for non-Japanese speaking kids, which many of us were when we first played FF7, to have no idea it's pronounced any other way.
