By the way, I definitely buy into UU and uu sharing the same body now. That's why they keep having to close and open new cheers/jeers. If they were two separate people, they'd just have one unbroken conversation. There aren't any other reasons I can think of why they'd do this.

Another update. Looks like things will get good. I like that on the character select screen, Dirk has Roxy's picture and Roxy has Dirk's picture.

Hahaha, Hussie just totally took the piss out of Cascade. Cascade was the only thing in Homestuck that was completely deadpan serious and he still managed to make it funny.

Oh, the other half of the note is when John gets the Zillyhoo. I had actually TOTALLY forgotten about it. I was pretty sure that at one point Jake signed his name as J but I couldn't remember when, so glad to have that mystery solved. That's also the part where Jake made all the hints about Jade that he was talking about that I also couldn't find.

I'm impressed by how long it has taken to finally bring the mystery of the green box to a close. It's pretty weird to think that we first learned about Jake before we learned about about half of the trolls, since John read Jake's letter before Hivebent started. After Cascade, this was one of the only major mysteries that had not been wrapped up or even addressed yet.

Oh man, the happy dancing fruits are back. I always liked those guys.

It's funny, because I honestly don't know that Hussie intended for this at all, but now that someone has made the connection, he is definitely going to use it.

Also, the stuff with Mind Dirk and Terezi is starting to make me think there's actually something important here, where previously I assumed it was just a silly way to have Jake and Dirk converse.

Well, aside from the fact that Aranea seemed to have become who she wanted to be as opposed to who she actually is, I mean, the walls of text, flowery prose, crazy level of detail in exposition, Mindfang was always a total nerd in my mind. We never actually knew Mindfang, anyway, except what she projected herself to be like in her journals. I think people just expected her to be pirate Vriska. I'm glad she's a unique person instead of being pirate Vriska.

Man, did you read Mindfang's journals? Aranea is totally her to a T.

Shrug! I guess they're sort of in the middle for now. They're still new. It's hard for me to judge how I feel about them without more perspective.

Also, for the others, I think series wins are more notable.

Got them all in 10 minutes. I was surprised at how long this took me, figuring out all the early ones was a challenge.

Also, I'm not quite sure I understand the subtext in the last panel. At first I thought Aranea was about to say something that Meenah didn't want her to say, then I thought Meenah was like, threatening Aranea somehow, then I thought that Meenah was just stopping Aranea from being longwinded and expediting the explanation. It's probably the last one I guess.

Hussie's just trying to get Homestuck out of the way so he can get started on his magnum opus. He's gone on record as saying Homestuck is just a warmup for the story he WANTS to tell.

I thought he was on record saying Homestuck is a warmup for whatever the next story he tells is, whatever that may be, that he probably doesn't even know yet. I think it was more a response to the idea that Homestuck is his magnum opus, when he'd rather think that whatever he writes next will be better than whatever came before it.

I don't think it's like he's got some amazing idea all planned out that Homestuck is just a precursor to.

I can't, off the top of my head, name any game with a better final boss than Wind Waker's. Very few games end on as dramatic a high note as that game did.

Damn, I want to play this but my desktop computer isn't working at the moment so it'll have to wait. I pretty much beat the s*** out of Binding of Isaac already, I have all of the items in the game but two (Halo and Pinking Shears, and the latter is because I haven't died 100 times yet).

I like how both of the big meetup conversations now have had Karkat interrupt with a big angry rant.

I didn't think the Nepetaquest shoutout was awkward because I had no idea it was a thing. (The over 9000 reference was funny because it was written to be terrible.)

The most interesting part of the conversation to me is Meenah's references to the other pre-scratch trolls. Sounds like Karkat's ancestor is a lot different.

Yo Gabba Gabba I actually find sort of tolerable. There's enough elements to it that I find genuinely amusing to counterbalance all the stuff that isn't.

Max and Ruby and the Fresh Beat Band can suck it though, yeah.

The only show that I actually can watch unironically is the Upside Down Show. Jesus christ that show is like a fever dream in kids' television form. Those guys are funny as hell.

I have a three-year-old brother. I am an unassuming witness to a whole lot of Nick Jr. There are things even worse than Dora, but eventually, you become numb to it all.

Holy f***, there is a high chance this is the greatest all-star cast of voice actors to ever be assembled for anything.

I'd rank Metroid above ZM too. ZM is certainly the more accessible and stress-free game to play, no doubt about that, but it feels a bit sterile in my opinion, it suffers from a lot of the linearity issues that Fusion had (albeit with more subtlety and less Adam yapping at you) and I don't feel like it has a lot of personality on its own. Metroid is a flawed but fascinating classic that deserves more credit than it gets. Hell, if you take out the starting with 30 health thing which is absolutely awful, I don't even think it's a bad game, I think it's fun when you're not farming health.
