Wow, I'm surprised people are so angry over this. Brawl's roster is already huge, and he didn't say there would be no new characters. The roster is going to change. There's going to be new characters. But there aren't that many new characters to add anyway, Nintendo would have to reach pretty deep into their catalog to add as many new characters as they did, and that isn't a good idea. The roster will get stupidly bloated.

Besides, everyone hated Brawl and nobody wants anything to change from Melee. You guys shouldn't care. I care, because I thought Brawl was fun, and I think this is the right way to go.

Three major principles I would keep in mind:

1) Because the deck is big and there are a lot of cards, seeing as many cards as possible is crucial.
2) Play cards that maximize the potential of your other cards. Don't play cards together if their synergy is weak.
3) Take actions that maximize the potential of your cards compared to your opponent. Don't get too attached to explore.

The "slowly flowing water" thing struck me as odd. I actually do kind of have a fascination with water in general, I guess, but that is weirdly specific.

Yeah I'm not going to lie, I kind of dig multiple-choice personality tests. They're dumb, but I felt compelled anyway.

Man, people need to chill out about Asperger's. I mean yeah, people who self-diagnose themselves as an excuse to consider themselves "special" and act like children are intolerable, and some of the real diagnoses are crap. But there is definitely a set of characteristics that are often (but not always) related, and these traits do present challenges for people who have them, and giving these sets of traits a name isn't wrong. Making light of "aspie" dorks doesn't make you cool it just makes you a different kind of dork.

That said, it's true, Minecraft does seem to attract a certain kind of people.

Pretty much somewhere in the middle as expected. Some of the stuff (sensitivity to light and sound, clumsiness, verbal/sound distractions, introversion, the fact that I took a stupid asperger's test on the internet) fits me to a T, some of it (antisocial/bad in social situations, compulsive behaviors, being wacky and random lol!) does not. Some of the social behavior stuff used to trip me up worse but I got better at it.

The Chuck Berry song is questionable, but I don't think The Who has a claim on Sky Runner. The similarity is obviously there but I don't think it's close enough.

Yes, but I don't go driving for the hell of it, and I hate navigating and getting lost. But operating a motor vehicle is fun.

Jack in the Box for menu variety and 24-hour service, though they're not the fastest.

Although if I'm not guaranteed that the place I pick will be open forever, I'll go with McDonald's, because I definitely don't see them going anywhere in the next 100 years.

No, it isn't.

First of all, Heavy only chews through "pretty much every other class" if they're stupid enough to just stand in your line of fire and die. To be fair, on pubs, that's like 99% of everyone you'll run into. If you play against people who are smart, then things are a lot different. The fact is that Tomislav allows far greater opportunity to retreat out of the Heavy's line of fire, even at pretty close range, and it's a lot less threatening in more suppressive-fire situations.

Second, are you kidding, a minigun Heavy beats a Tomislav Heavy pretty much 100% of the time unless the Tomislav Heavy gets a really significant jump on the other. This wasn't true with the original, broken Tomislav, but it was true with the 40% Tomislav and and the 10% Tomislav has absolutely no chance against a minigun Heavy. It's straight up domination by the minigun.

Now to be fair I haven't tested the +10% faster rev-up, but that should be barely noticeable.

The fact that it's silent almost doesn't matter. It still makes a sound when you first begin revving, and it's still noisy while firing.

If you're going to ambush as a Heavy, the Tomislav won't really improve your ability to do so, especially because the Tomislav allows people much more time to run away or counterattack safely, due to not killing them as fast. The minigun revs up fast enough that if you do it right it won't matter.

The actually interesting difference in play that the Tomislav created was improving the Heavy's mobility and his ability to react quickly to threats, while decreasing his overall firepower. It was broken in its first form, but pretty much just fine in its second form.

Yeah, it wasn't nearly enough to balance out the original Tomislav, that thing was ridiculous, but the +40% Tomislav was just fine. Now the reduced fire rate way outweighs the reduction in rev time. The weapon's a piece of junk. A normal minigun Heavy will outgun a Tomislav Heavy nearly every time.

Tomislav was overpowered before the first nerf they gave it (when it revved at like +75% speed or something obnoxious like that), but it wasn't really overpowered anymore. Making it useless isn't really a good solution, now there's just a whole bunch more clutter. The amount of item clutter in TF2 is getting silly, I'd at least like for some of them to be worthwhile sidegrades. Tomislav is now strictly inferior to the minigun, just like every other minigun.

Meet the Pyro was great. Didn't have as much funny dialog as the previous two but it's the friggin Pyro what did you expect. I'm guessing people are disappointed mostly because each Meet the ____ was sort of a step up from the previous one and this is the first one not to do so, but I don't care. It was a little more in line with previous Meet the ____ videos rather than a full-length movie.

Tomislav is now useless. Bonk is now overpowered. Not sure what the purpose of these changes was.

Tales of the Abyss 3DS was really hard to find too. I don't think it had a very wide distribution.

Can't believe TotA only sold 72k copies on the PS2. It really deserves better.

Actually, I think it sounds like it might be kind of KOTH race. Kind of like, just the last part of Hightower, with the slow moving elevators. That part of the map kind of sucks balls, so hopefully this'll be better.

Also wtf Berdych? Gulbis is one of the more consistent unseeded players, but still, that's embarrassing.

I'm thinking of Vriska's theme, like the one that plays in the walkaround. Those are the only "themes" I'm familiar with, I don't know of any others.

Did anyone else do that thing where you only level up one pokemon and just used the others to basically revive that one?

Yeah for a while I used Venusaur exclusively. There wasn't much reason not to - as far as progressing through the game was concerned, everything I could pick up was vastly weaker than it, and he was strong enough to beat things that he would normally be weak to. Eventually I picked up Jolteon and Omastar since they come at a high enough level to be usable almost immediately, but that was pretty much my whole team.

Bulbasaur. It was the correct choice because he's BROKEN AS F*** in a normal playthrough in red. Vine Whip murders Brock and Misty, Razor Leaf murders everything, and Sleep Powder is virtually an instant win button.

The only troll theme that stands out to me is Karkat's. It has a great melodic hook and the combination of eerie square waves and glitchy synth percussion is fitting for him.

Equius and Nepeta's are pretty funny at least. I hate Vriska's theme with a passion.

Homestuck's music really takes off when it's given visual context.

Yeah, not listening to the stuff has its upsides too. I really liked Time on my Side when it got used in the comic and I hadn't heard it before.

Not particularly. Most of the common suggestions for stuff to listen to have left me unenthused.

I don't really care at all about the songs that aren't used in the comic itself. They're sort of a nonfactor to me. I don't listen to them often.
