There is that one episode where JD sees Janitor in a movie, so why didn't he just look at the credits?

by the time she is 30 homes will cost $1.5 million on average and in California they will $5 million at the lowest

idk man, I bought my place a few years ago when I was making $20 an hour with my GF.
Granted we were lucky to both start making more (and I substantially more) shortly after but even for the first ~2 years making about $40 total we werent struggling. We werent living lavishly either but never worried about making the payment.

When interest rates are low its not as scary as it sounds. I doubt well get back into the 2.x/3.x range, but even when we get back down to high 4s/low 5s, I imagine as long as you can collect the 3% down (or get a first time buyers program) youll end up paying roughly the same as you would renting even with the PMI.

getting the down payment isnt exactly easy, but no way impossible.

Millennials are also on track to inherit more money than any generation that has ever existed.

Edit:
https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/pittsburgh/news/new-data-millennials-richest-generation-by-2044/

unless we see an economic collapse or massive recession wouldnt this be the case for every generation?

Wealth continues to be generated and doesnt just go away as much as shifts, so technically every generation has been the wealthiest inheritance, and likely will continue to be going forward.

right?

Lost ending was lame. "It's about the characters" is a lame justification too. It's a drama tv show. Having characters that don't suck is expected. It's not a nice to have, it's a must have.

The point isnt the characters dont suck. Its that the focus on the character narrative popularized the concept in modern form.

The flashbacks were specifically character driven arcs, not devices to further the plot which was more common. People often forget but Lost absolutely modernized character driven narratives with set pieces attached which wasnt a common thing.

Always hated this bullshit.

Nobody watched the show for Jack or Kate, they watched for the mystery of the Island.

If this show was set in New York City without any mystery, then it would have been canceled immediately.

youre objectively wrong. Also likely the reason Damon Lindelof and Jonathan Nolan went way out of their way to be as clear as possible to people that the leftovers was also a character driven show and the mystery just supplements that.

I've read new mutents 98 and I don't remember him being anything more than a generic bad guy merc in that. It was later that he started actually being unquie.

meh thats sorta fair. I dont consider his inception until his miniseries in 93 so Ill give you from 90-93 him being way more toned down. I still wouldnt argue he wasnt breaking fourthwalls or as crazy as hes made out to be but it also wasnt until he got his own series we got a peak into his brain to see what was really going on.

so Ill give you the point. Anyone thats a fan of that 3 year stint and then stopped loving him after has a point, but really thats just on them.

Even in his very early appearances he was breaking the fourth wall, though the added goofiness didn't kick in until the late 90s/early-2000s IIRC

Ya this, hes certainly developed and changed with the writers as all characters do, but hes also been aware of his own existence since inception and rarely took things seriously.

he was a deathstroke copy but as a joke

You should look up some war stories of press. Its by no means an everyday thing but the way the press interact seemed pretty reasonable to me. Some recommendations for more movie/TV would be:
-Generation Kill - following a Rolling Stone reporter imbedded with Marine 1st recon during the invasion of the Middle East
-Whisket Tango Foxtrot - Tina Fey as a war correspondent

Then theres a ton of independent clips/stories of media in warfare.

IIRC one of the intentions behind Civil War was specifically to show how media will jeopardize lives including their own to get a shot

I haven't seen the film yet though I plan on doing so. My understanding is that the journalist characters are portrayed as being neutral and impartial observers or wt least attempting to be. (If I'm incorrect here people who have seen the film can correct me) Which I take issue with. I have an problems with the idea that journalism, especially war journalism, should be inherently neutral.

Robert Evans, who is extremely critical of the modern state of journalism put it something like this "if one group is claiming that it's raining and another claims that it isn't, it's not your job as a journalist to report both sides claims uncritically. It's to go outside for yourself and see if it's raining or not and report on that, who is lying about it, and why."

buy they arent. They have a better relationship with the western forces than they do with the presidents side and they talk about the shit the president doesnt throughout the movie.

people saying both sides are digging their head into the ground. What actually happens is you see how journalist act with competing sides to get the scoop, which is absolutely different from how you and others make it out to be.

not really because again it wasnt about regulation. It was about being contracted to follow orders.

So putting stock into the statement that the government shouldnt try to control things out of their control makes a lot of sense.

youd be surprised how positions change when resources become scarce. CA and Texas working together makes perfect sense both resource and location wise.
