That sucks. I was hoping it was for a rerelease of the games or something.
its just for an album of people doing covers of the songs from the first game.

Yea, but my hope is that bandai will see how well the kickstarter did and realize people would support a remaster. :v This kickstarter is licensed by bandai at least, so they know about it.

For a triple A IP, an album of covers is the best thing that Kickstarter is going to influence. Ain't no way crowdfunding would directly influence a remaster.

if the massive success of xenoblade doesnt make them realize they could make money just by the xeno name alone a kickstarter certainly wont

I got excited for 1 sec, then hopes dashed. The first game has serious pacing issues but its a enjoyable game. 2nd was decent. Never played the 3rd. My copy is sealed. And in great condition. Not ready to let it go yet.

Oh, you should really play 3 sometime, most people consider it the best in the series. :o It emulates well too. I think the whole series does now actually.

I really wish a translation patch for Xenosaga I&II on the ds would materialize though.

Are they related in any way? I havent played the blade collection but Ive heard they werent (and that the fans were two separate groups with small overlap)

Xenosaga remake or remaster would be great. But I REALLY want a Xenogears remake. A full remake. That fixes the last part of the game and puts back in all the missing content

They're related in the same sense that 'saga and 'gears are (dubiously at best) related, if a little less so. Obviously, Abel sharing Fei's visage is profound, and there are other like but incidental carryovers to 'blade games. The general intention and thematic slant that unifies 'Xeno' games persists, as well. The fundamental game design differences are what splinter the fan base.
While we count these petals to pluck them off a cosmos

officially no they are not due to a lot of copyright red tape
basically monolith soft made all the xeno games
but they made them for different companies so the licensing rights are all over the place

square owns xenogears
namco owns xenosaga
and nintendo owns xenoblade

so any connection between them are little winks and nods to the audience but never anything official because if someone tried to officially connect them a lawsuit would immediately follow
but xenoblade 2 did get namcos permission to use KOSMOS as a gacha character for episode 2
and the DLC for xenoblade 3 has such a blatant connection to xenosaga that they had to credit namco in the end credits

I still remember that dumbfounded feeling of " What'd you do that for!? " when they revealed the KOS-MOS twist at the end of Xenosaga 3.

renne le chateu is a real place on earth and interestingly enough i saw a streamer playing the game and since he knew the history of renne le chateu he actually called the twist which was cool
