I actually like it but it doesn't seem like they changed it much.

I tend to think Mega evos are pretty dumb and tend to just be wannabe Digimon (Gigantimax was way better aesthetically ignoring the size thing. I don't even acknowledge whatever the fuck they did last time with the crystals).

my thoughts exactly. Also my favorite Pokemon to get a Mega evo so thank god they didn't botch it (RIP Sharpedo and Garchomp)

It's a very fitting Mega for it.

I dont like Hawlucha generally but this is definitely one of the better Megas. Feels like a proper design improvement over base Hawlucha in just about every way without stepping into absurdity.

I like it, but i wonder if this wouldve been better off as a normal evolution. Like level up while holding a "championship belt" or "gold luchador mask" item.

I like this reveal a lot but is this what combat in the new Pokemon game looks like? Because it kind of sucks.

Pretty cool, it does feel like a natural escalation of the Hawlucha design.

That's what it looks like in the sense that it's in-game footage, but they edited out the UI and clipped together strings of attacks. The battle system in Z-A is real-time with move cooldowns, like Xenoblade or MMOs.

Love this guy to bits. Hawlucha is already a favourite and they just made it even cooler imo

Okay, I looked up an actual gameplay video and it does actually look cool. This one I had an issue with because it seems like they were just kind of bumping into each other.

I actually think this is a pretty cool direction to take Pokemon. I hope it works out!
