Rules

5. In general, if there are two picks that can be considered the same product (i.e. Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle), I will combine them.

7. I will post the parameters of each Rushmore topic. Other than that, feel free to vote however you like and based on any criteria that best fits the "Mount Rushmore" of that topic.

Lots of contenders, both serious and meme-worthy. That last spot was especially hectic; I was thinking for sure there would a tiebreaker today. Despite Guile doing the best by far, poor Ken and Balrog didn't even get a single vote.

This is just going to be the ending tracks to the first 3 mainline games. Plus TTFAF. I may love the other songs to death, but they aren't making a Rushmore. The only other song to consider here is Jordan. Or I guess maybe Trogdor? I can't picture anyone picking anything else except out of personal preference.

Through the Fire and Flames should be a lock for this Rushmore. The song is being modded into all sorts of rhythm games or minigames as if it was a "Can it run DOOM?" situation.

I know nothing about Guitar Hero so I'll sit this one out

I Love Rock and Roll - the first song everyone ends up playing since everyone knows it

Get Ready 2 Rokk - Freezepop is the recurring Guitar Hero band that showed up each game and pretty much nowhere outside of Guitar Hero. They are synonymous with Guitar Hero.

Through the Fire and Flames - the hard song that blows People's minds

Cliffs of Dover - because it's a great song that almost Noone heard of before playing Guitar Hero

The endings of GH1 and 2 don't feel nearly that special to me. I didn't even remember what they were.

Because, It's Midnite (I know it won't make the list but I think it's noteworthy being the only non-80s song in the 80s game)

This is weird to me unless

1. You were a big fan of the song before Guitar Hero
2. You never beat it on Expert
3. You beat it on Expert but after you got good at the game through other titles so it didn't take you 50 tries

I don't see why it wouldn't, but that's just me. The only songs I'd consider Rushmore material from it is Play With Me or Seventeen, but there were still some bangers on there.

There were also a few band-centric games. I wanna say Aerosmith, Van Halen and Metallica?

And there was also Band Hero, which had 3 Taylor Swift songs and her as an avatar too.
