Just started watching Angel Beats for the upcoming collab in HBR. Jun Maeda sure loves having high school kids in kinda military settings and music bands, lol.

HBR is famous for basically being what Jun Maeda wanted to do with Angel Beats, so it makes sense. More than half the squad has a lot of implication but never gets much coverage in AB. Compared to that, despite having a much larger cast, every single members of the other squads gets a ton of story in HBR. But yes there are a lot of shocking parallels, but the existence of Cancer in HBR changes a lot of dynamics

I haven't played HSR for so long I didn't realize that super break was a thing lol. Too bad I missed Firefly, she seems interesting.

Was not expecting to log in and find myself with all the resources (from gold Fous to grails to footprints) to gigamax Summer Ibuki-Douji but I'll take it! Gonna sit on the rest, something obscene like 20+ grails and hundreds upon hundreds of blazing exp and enough footprints to full-max a character left over, dunno if I'll ever use them but all the more reason to hoard them for that "special someone."

Maybe I'll 120 Castoria. She deserves the love.

In Arknights I decided to throw some pulls on the Joint Ops banner, pulled Pozemka. I don't have a 6* (or 5* for that matter) E2 Sniper yet, thinking she must be a decent choice if she's being featured on a Joint Ops banner, they only put in-demand meta characters on those.

So I guess it's back in to the IS mines for me today lol. Might go stomp some doors first though and let Ibuki-Douji flex her new muscles.

Arknights (my main gacha at the moment), FGO (intermittently, I go long stretches where I just log in and then a week or two where I play a bunch of the story. Sometimes I take notice of an ongoing event as well), DBZ Dokkan Battle (on thin ice because they broke the game with the 10th anni headliner and it's just not fun any more), DB Legends, FEH.

I hope the devs treat this well, looks like it could really have some legs if done right. Already in love with the setting, detective theme, and character designs, and in general Genshin could use more competition.

Oh, I forget if I mentioned this, cuz I recently saw it on my alt. I never had a good Tsukasa on my main. In story where Tsukasa is canonically awoken, she has a differently voiced line. Every Tsukasa memorias have 2 versions. But as far as I can tell, there's no option to enable the other line in non-story mode. You probably have to go to very specific chapters to hear it all

Tsukasa's VA is hilarious. She's the one freaking out openly whenever they show a slightly lewd memorias. There was a funny camera cut in their last show where Seira got a rather suggestive memorias, and when they transition to the actresses, it zooms in on Tsukasa VA's face wide-eyed and excited. Meanwhile Yuki's VA is cracking up, and the main producer is like "..." You wouldn't imagine Tsukasa's VA delivering those lines especially awoken

So when I was in Japan in 2023, I found an arcade game I enjoyed called Bombergirl. It is exactly what you'd think. Bomberman meets waifu. I played a few games and loved it. Then couldn't play it after I left Japan. I just went back to Japan three weeks ago for a total of 2 and a half weeks and at the end of my trip, found another arcade and went to play this again. It was a fun game and had gacha elements to it.

My brother was with me and he tried it and loved it too. When we came home, he looked into seeing if there was any way we can play online and he apparently found a downloadable version of the game. We paired our Aime cards to it. He tried it already. I have been in installation for a little while now. I'll try it soon. All of his data did carry over though, so that's cool.

Fucking lol. That game sounded interesting so I looked it up, and the reception part made me laugh

They did a preview on a bunch of gameplay optimizations coming soon for HBR

Several buffs to units, which cover everything but the one I wanted the most, which is the Seira buffs. She was my first SSR outside the one you get for free, and I heard she becomes very very good

Some other changes are stuff like Anachronies being a bit easier and harder at the same time. You can make it very easy but also get way more rewards for doing a much harder version of bosses you fight in Ch 4

Also the A/S shards seem to be able to convert to SS. This was not in the JP version. This makes it much much easier to limit break key units. I have like... a good 5 or so limit breaks available to me right now lol. Hoarding them til the end of times. Also you can buy other things with those shards, which was also something not in JP

Of course 150 free pulls leading up to the AB collab which I might've already mentioned.

Also a kind of a thing similar to the covenant ring from stuff like GFL. 10% stat boost and one more skill slot for a specific memoria. This sadly does not apply universally to that character.

Several UI updates, too, so now we should see the same thing JP is seeing. It improves on several things that honestly should've been there from the start, like being able to see skills on memorias easier etc

Finally got Grave, and the new SSR in one draw, moments after cursing my luck over the past week in Nikke (had to golden mileage Mihara twice with almost no SSRs obtained in between and tons of bust maintenance kits)

That makes up for it quickly lol

Left off Ch 4 p 2 of HBR for a while on Day 12. I think it ends day 14 but there are a lot more story than the usual chapters.

What ends up happening seems a bit too good to be true, but if you think about the possibility that the retired Seraph Squad are purposely sent near their family members, then it could make sense. Otherwise considering they want secrecy and shit, if they go around bragging that their long-lost seemingly dead for 29 yrs family members came back exactly as-is 29 yrs ago, then it would probably out some people or the secret bh Narbies.

But man, the build up and the time they take to set a certain character up in a completely different environment, the constant slice of life stuff to suddenly rip you out of it. It's HBR classic I suppose.

Meanwhile I guess it's canon that only Ruka amongst 31-A is going around and mingling with every other Squad lmao. I mean I guess there are more implied squad than you're able to interact with in the game. At least 2 other Squad 30's get mentioned for instance, and we have yet to see any of their members. I say this cuz it's fuckin' Chapter 4 and Yuki, Karen, and Tsukasa have seemingly never interacted with any of the members of 30-X, well unless you count Sharo's murderous aggression towards Yuki for being too close to Ruka. Megumi, hilariously considering she's the most prickly, knows like 2 of them pretty well cuz of the movie crew.

Man 2 more days and still not a single Wing Zero thing. And they announced that theyre going to add an auto pvp mode? My faith in this game is dropping like a rock :<

I just pulled 180 times to get 2 SSRs. It's 3%, so 3 SSR per 100 pulls. My rate was 1.1%

I did get Kanade but now I'm in sunk cost fallacy. Sadly I will just pull 20 more times to at least get Kanade to 1 LB.

I never got railed so hard. All that time saving and now I basically gave up on a guaranteed Bride Mari

Also holy fuck, the Red Riding Hood Karen (Super Saiyan 2) is an early memoria I've been using forever. Holy crap they buffed the every loving shit out of her lmao. I heard she's still not that good in JP, but for us? I mean she's kinda got everything. She's a breaker/blaster/dps in one (Madoka Exedra reference?). She gets like 5 hit buff, the best buff in the game, for free for like 2 turns?

Her and Yuri just gave me a usable Fire team. Fire's been my weakest element

Also the Arts Battle mode is kinda fun. It's like a pseudo rogue-like. It still uses your skills and passives. Orb skills eventually become very important, and they're usable here too. There are good Orb skills like using 1 SP to gain 3 SP. That one is generally gonna take up a skill slot for pretty much every unit

I'm not sure how much integrated graphics can do but doesn't hurt to try I guess.

So I did pull her later on on my alt. Even at non-max lvl and kinda bad equipments, she was doing a truckload of dmg. I also have Yanagi SS1 on that account, who heals and gives Charge to the whole team. 18 SP is a lot, but man she makes up for everything but just killing everything in sight. Her costume is also just so good in this memoria

Struggling to stop myself from regretting pulling too hard in the AB collab and stopping at Inori banner on my main lmao. Kanade is pretty fun though

Recent difficult content made me realize how completely empty my debuffer pool is.

Meanwhile the Angel Beats collab story is hilarious. I didn't know where they were going with one of the early "1st Episode Preview for An Anime You Don't Want To Watch" gag skit, and the last one's punchline absolutely sent me Cast Commentary for the first goddamn episode lmao. There was another good one where The Extra episode was based on something so mundane that you can't even imagine how they'd fill a full episode time on it

I went from doing 50-70k damage with Adel or Tsukasa to Inori casually doing 300k+, its funny.

I read the Angel Beats collab yesterday, first half was very silly(those preview skits were great), the Irie backstory was good too, although I guess she didn't manage to move on properly? Since she still ended up in the afterlife school thing in Angel Beats. Also seeing Kanade and Yuri being friends after they barely had any time for it in thr anime was nice.

Still considering rolling for Kanade because she sings that silly mapo tofu song if you have her in the main screen. Also she's voiced by HanaKana.

Also I noticed with the new update that the level cap for units is tied to story progression now and my units are now randomly at their max normal level. I guess I should start chapter 4 soon... Besides the collab and some socializations I haven't touched any other story after finishing the Observational Report, as I'm still affected by that one. It felt so unnecesary, and now I have to think about any other character that dies going through the same thing Kura went through.

I think for Irie, at the end of the anime, they just kinda disappeared as a large group. It's totally possible she moved on literally just to be considerate, but we never really learn anything about her. So yeah since this shit is all canon, she clearly had hang ups. I'm curious to see where the story would lead, but it's pretty sad that she died in such a pathetic way, which is par for the course for the AB crew I guess.

But yes, Kanade is probably gonna take up my main screen for a while I think. Then when Bride Mari comes, I'm afraid nobody else might ever have that main screen

Ch 4 p 1 is relatively chill. I'd say it's more about dealing with the aftermath of Ch 3. P2 is where the bulk of the action is, but much happens in P1. I'd at least get to Day 6 because that unlocks the Orb bosses. They're really hard but the orb skills are kinda gamechangers

Yeah she was my first SSR. She becomes top tier eventually. For whatever reason we got literally every buff except hers. What are they even afraid of?

The silly thing about her buff is that Overdrive eats up her crit rate buff turns. It doesn't get consumed on skill usage, which is rare

Nice, honestly I get tempted to dive back in whenever they reveal a new character. Their design team is so good honestly.

I beat everything and was mostly satisfied with my time with it and quit it. They seem to be doing alright in terms of revenue right now

There must be something in the air bestowing me luck today. Pulled the new Hit in DBZ Dokkan Battle off a spur of the moment 10-pull, then got two 6*s in a 10-pull in Arknights.

Executor the Ex Foedere is mine alongside Dorothy (who was my pity breaker pull). So that's my big future yellow cert target done and ample time to get ready for October/November. Can't believe my Joint Op pulls went that well.

Now to decide if I'm going to pass Kal'sit and shoot for the rumoured/predicted Reed Alter in a week or two with the yellow certs. I can always go for Kal'sit again next time we get to pick a headhunting banner (I believe) but this is will be the best chance to get Reed.

I have been moving very slow with the story. At first, I thought there was only one dungeon. Then I thought there was only two. Just recently, I came into the third place. I like that the story side of things has more than I initially expected. Pleasant surprise.

Also this is a funny guide to the hardest content available atm, which I haven't really tried yet. There are some dark dark magic in here, like A Miya giving 10% OD when in frontline and also available to using 6 sp for Driving Orb, which gives 6 hits worth of OD.

Don't take this guide to heart for any content except this one. This mode rewards speedrunning and these types of janky ass strat can actually work. The luck based OD generating S memoria Exodia is hilarious. I think this mode lets you run 2 squads

Btw, you can actually use these units for Anachrony. I just started with OD generating units including A Miya and got to 1 OD and swapped to my main party

The more I play of Bombergirl online, the more I understand just how not-great this is for a gacha online. I mean, if you've been to a Japanese arcade and unlocked the characters, it's cool. But online here, I've gotten nothing but mostly voice items.

Atleast the game is still fun. I just want new characters to try out.

Well, 31-A and Aoi and Yuina taking top 10 is literally identical to JP's. The biggest difference is Charlotta and Mari sneaking their way onto the top 10.

Listen, I think maybe us westerners have good tastes after all. I'll take any Mari mention to be a huge win. I think the 31-A bias only makes sense cuz we just spend majority of the story segments with them, though in JP, I think Yuina takes #1 almost every goddamn time

I gave that tower a try a few days ago and got completely thrashed, lol. I'm definitely not ready for that.

Another SS in the free pulls, lets go.

Nice, I dunno if you noticed, but all the SS1s got a buff. If you get them on LB4 (lol good luck) then all of that character's memorias get 10% stat buff, which is pretty huge. It's also doubly great cuz every memorias of that character share the same highest max lvl, so yeah getting as many SS1s as possible will probably pay off in the long run.

That Karen gets used interchangably to the red riding hood Karen.

Honestly, Karen being 9th makes me sad, but we didn't get her story focus yet. It happens on Ch 5, that's all I know. I just love how sweet the base form Karen is, and how the Karrie/Karen-chan is just... a very nice but violent girl lol. They're both nice, but Karrie knows how to pep talk better.

Yeah, Karen is my third favorite from 31-A(After Ruka and Yuki), she's really fun and I love seeing her go all out in the songs.

The popularity contest is supposed to be made into a banner with the top 10 memorias on rateup, right? I wonder if it would be worth rolling in that, I only have the suit Tsukasa from that list.
