Etheria devs are kinda sucking right now. There's been 2-3 patches/hot fixes where they (in)directly shadow nerf units.

Yep, I just uninstalled Etheria. It wouldn't even let me delete my account because I used multiple devices lol

Garbage devs, will never play anything by them again. There wasn't any clear way for me to progress at that point without getting the higher tier buffers/debuffers and the grind was painful since there's no quick battle feature - and RNG just randomly kills you in battles.

Finished chapter 4 part 1 in HBR. Honestly, good for Megumi, she definitely wasn't in a good mental state to keep fighting. Poor Tama though. I wonder if 31-A will get another member, the other squads that lost a member didn't.

Also, the boss kicked my ass hard, lol. Had to lower the difficulty for the first fight, in the second I just had to remember to never let Kura take a hit, everyone else could survive the boss attacks easily but Kura just kept getting one shot from full health. Kinda ironic.

Well looked like the outrage worked for Etheria. Gave away a 10 pull, doing 2x drops and doing another character reset event (which honestly should be a regular game mechanic we're in fucking 2025 lmao) as apology for nerfing units.

What's funny is that there are people defending the devs for "balancing" units. Brother in Christ, you balance units for the PvP portion of a game, not the PvE portion where it's already grindy af to get resources.

They had a long open beta and still couldn't detect this shit
They outsourced their QA and ran into balance issues as a result. Of course, since there's a ton of mechanics and tons of units available at launch, it's going to be very difficult to maintain balance with that much going on. People will find a way to use unintended combinations when new things are introduced and they will endlessly cycle between nerfs and buffs.

They're trying to do too much and it's going to bite them in the ass early.

It sucks because the game actually did a bang up job with the characters. I want to build a lot of the SR characters to help with PvE content like Diting, Ditah, Chiaki the Echo, Grey, whatsherface the wisher. But knowing how slow it is to grind resources compared to a lot of other games and then the chance of them nerfing said characters being high kinda kills my motivation lol

Yeah, I just feel there isn't a clear path to progression other than RNG

Nikke - get slightly stronger every day through various means, always certain you can pass any hurdle eventually
BD2 - the daily slime/gold/crystal grind powers you up slowly over time and you quickly get all 4S costumes to +5 and can progress through story with just these, plus any 5S costumes you happen to draw
Horizon Walker - daily farm for EXP/gold to upgrade units makes it not too difficult to clear story and raise your daily rewards to near max
Rememento - daily stamina to get EXP / ascension items or to unlock potential tree nodes, or to farm gear, you always feel like you're getting better each day
Run! Goddess - game I dropped but at least you had predictable increases in power over time through daily grind using daily rechargeable dungeon keys and such

So it ain't that hard to have a more predictable / saner way to feel progression.

This game though... I felt like I couldn't progress past Hell I from some shell bosses to Hell II without getting the right module drops from Hell I, but on a 10-run I would get about 2 mythic modules on average and almost always HP-modules instead of something actually useful. Sure, I'd eventually luck out, but it becomes very frustrating. More importantly though, them locking the best farmable rewards behind the real-time PVP mode quickly drained my enthusiasm. I'm fine with PVP vs AI defense teams giving daily rewards, but not that other mode. I don't want to be too PVP-focused. I also do Pokemon TCG Pocket, and if the ranked matches introduced hourglasses as participation rewards, I'd just drop the game. In theory, nothing changes for me if I just continue as is, but knowing I could be getting more cards faster but yet dislike the method for doing so would create a vague feeling of discomfort when playing.

I think they'll struggle with how many units there are + how many mechanics they have and interest may flame out quickly if they don't add quick battle features. Waiting in real time for 10 auto battles to clear sucks ass.

Yeah auto battles instead of quick battles is so archaic and just an artificial way for devs to be like "hey look how many hours our players (didn't actually) play our games!!"

Yeah the main story fights get decently difficult from this point on. I still somehow did it with the canon team yes, I even took out Megumi and fought the boss with a 5 women squad. I forgot they allowed for lowering difficulty. If you didn't have as much time to farm for equipments like I did, it's gonna be pretty difficult. It was only possible for me cuz I had pimped out keys and bracelets and shit. Also my Ruka and Tama were using like real shit. Suit Ruka and Yukata Tama are both DPS units that don't intersect with each other too much.

It was also hard cuz Megumi was my only source of debuff. Also you can see from a bunch of speculative JP comments in streams about this ch that a great majority of ppl thought Megumi was gonna fuckin die. I did too but I got a bit spoiled of a civilian clothing Megumi, so I knew she was at least gonna survive that.

As to your first question, everything gets addressed, pretty much.

I played Shadowverse back in the day, although I mostly played the story mode. I remember the newest set was some fairy tales thing with a focus on neutral units so everyone in the ladder ended up playing mostly the same cards no matter your class lol.

I came back for a bit after the portalcraft released because the game let you borrow one of the decks in the shop for the season and there was a deck with the Manaria Friends characters, which I like a lot.

Well now, Apple processed my refund quickly. Im grateful theyre understanding about that :3

This game just wants me very very badly to freaking use Forestcraft. I've MAXED OUT on the copies of the 9 cost forest chick that turns my entire hand into burn. I don't think she's that good per se, but forest should be like close to the strongest deck rn

Sadly, people are very critical of SV2 and for very good reasons. The game is stingy as fuck and supposedly even paying for the game doesn't really guarantee you a good deck

I can say right now, Artifact Portal is a pretty cheap deck that is fairly definitively top tier

This applied to the previous SV as well, where if you accidentally go into a deck that sucks... well you're probably not playing ranked lmao.

I luck sacked solely in Forestcraft, so I'm kinda stuck playing Fairies. I'm not the biggest fan of this deck in this format, but it is a very clean mid tier that can beat top tier through just sheer good ass playing. The latter of that being a serious problem for me, considering I threw away 2 wins like nothing by just playing like hot trash when I had lethal.

Anyways, the game is getting reviewbombed. I'd say it's fine to just chill and watch out for them readjusting the pricing format soon. If not, this game is dead. SV1 appeared when YGO Master Duel didn't exist yet. It's gonna be interesting to see if they think they can compete with a far more competitive digital cardgame landscape

Would play SV2 to make my friend happy but it's not available here lmao. Doubt my phone would run it cause it's old but also just prefer something like that on Steam anyway. Do wonder if the bad reviews will impact other Cygames stuff, Granblue has had more monetization stuff for a bit and a lackluster 11th aniversarry.

Actually Cygames is releasing Umamusume global finally, after years of being asked about it. Most likely that'll get reviewbombed too, not to mention its reputation as also being stingy in JP.

SV2 was in the developmental cycle for eons. They wasted so much time developing all sorts of other things, only to release the game in a barebones greedy state. Lots of things from SV1 got nerfed, like dusting for vials now requiring 3+ copies (so you can't just vanquish cards of clans you don't care about...), packs costing fucking 5 times the cost of the original despite the missions giving more or less similar amounts of coins, free packs not applying to the bonuses that let you get leaders for free.

I think they're getting pressured to at least make some money, cuz I'm like 90% sure they didn't even make back maintenance cost for SV1 in the whole year where there was no update.

You know what's sad though? I actually think SV2 is pretty fun. I think I like majority of the new mechanics...

My pulls are all over the place, lol. Haven't even picked up a first farer deck. I also got some ticket thing...for the swordcraft guy, would have loved to get any of the other 3.

Also put some more time into HBR, finished interlude 1 and started Chapter 4 part 2. Poor Megumi is discovering how good the Seraph squadron life actually was. I fully expect people to recognize her as a Seraph member at some point, someone already asked her about copying someone. I'm wondering if she can use her Seraphim, I don't remember if they needed the Mepad for that.

Yeah I can't tell what deck would be great for you. I think Portalcraft is by far the best budget deck, and Eudie and Ruler of Cocytus pretty much directly improves it. But it's not a super simple deck to play

And yeah considering they keep talking about how there aren't proper farmers or ranch anymore, it's safe to assume majority of the remaining food on earth are going to the ppl in the Antarctica hideaway and the Seraph Squadron.

Got 2 more Havencraft legends(Jeanne and second copy of the Anathema guy) so I may end up going with Haven. I played mostly Shadow, Rune and Haven in the old Shadowverse.

Oh yeah Haven and Portal are top tier. Sword is pretty decent, same for Dragon, and Forest remains the deck for the crazies or ppl who are forced into it like me

As long as you don't play Abyss (aka Shadow + Blood), you're fine. I used to play Shadowcraft too, but they fucking neutered this deck. If you get Cerberus, it's good. She's the one good card in that entire clan so there's some longevity there.

Rune is kinda RNG. Your experience depends entirely on if you drew Dimension Shift retrain early lol

Honestly my luck had been good. I agree with most people complaining but like personally, my luck has actually been unironically very good lol.

My only craft so far was Amataz of all things. It pains me to use 3500 goddamn vials for an old bald man but he's literally the best card in Forest

Try getting a 6~8/6~8 on the field on turn 3 and see if your opponent actually has an out b4 they got evolve. It basically means they're taking a good half of their HP in dmg next turn. And then it's basically clean up time

Also I've been on a goddamn tear. I went like 10-2 in my last 12 games, and they freaking promoted me to ruby elo. I was like oh god win 4 ranked match, this is gonna be a pain, and 2 of the duels ended up being like 2-3 minutes long cuz Bald Man turbo was too much for them

Wow, the Brown Dust II 2 year anniversary packages are insane
Normal daily elemental crystal farming = 260 if you use all 60 torches you get daily; most expensive upgrade = 500 crystals
Package contents for each element: 30000
The amount was so high that I completed all costume potential liberation for literally all costumes I have (other than Tears, though they gave a cracked amount of those too at like 20)

They also gave out like 8k red slime... which is enough to level like half or a third of all 5s characters from 1->100. I used it to get the remaining few chars I didn't have at 100 yet. Plus they gave out like 50 of the 5-star rankups, where you'd normally get like 10-12 per event if you bought out the store

What the hell were they thinking giving out so much? Now I have basically no need for using torches again, since I still have 10k+ left of each type after spending as many as I possibly could, and I have at least one copy of almost all costumes mostly just missing some collab costumes

Hell, my Last Night mode score more than doubled from 450m to 940m with the new Wilhelmina costume plus all the other costumes I got from the plethora of tickets

Yep, the anniversary units delivered. They capitalized on the huge popularity of Wilhelmina and made another great costume for her, and the expected Wedding Eclipse. Still 2 more anticipated costumes probably in the second half of the anniversary.

I gave Brown Dust 2 a try too, but the fanservice is so in your face it just takes me out of it. I've never seen a gacha game being so generous though.

I probably-ill advisedly just threw three (out of four saved) multis at the Jessica/Reed banner (have to save everything till Oct/Nov now), pulled three 6*s in that group and all three are names I've heard so am wondering if they're worth leveling considering I'm resource-broke right now and the 900k LMD and exp I saved the last few weeks is earmarked for Reed.

I pulled Nymph, Zuo Le, and Mlynar. I also grabbed Reed from the shop ofc as well.

So yeah, no idea which of those three deserve resources. Reed's priority but after her I dunno which of these are worth investing.

Mlynar was the big damage nuke before Widadel showed up, and he'll get a module at some point that lets him do Wisadel level damage. He can be a bit awkward to use though, since he only attacks or blocks when he has a skill active. He also has a permanent taunt effect that's fun to work with. One of the best units in the game.

Nymph has two uses: endlessly stalling a single enemy(like a boss) with S2, or being a big elemental damage nuke with S3, unfortunately she needs some assistance to do them. Don't bother with S3 if you don't have Virtuosa. For S2 you just need to stall the enemy enough for Nymph to charge her skill again, even just throwing Gravel at the enemy works, or having Ptilopsis or Mostima deployed. She's the one I use the most of those three, even for normal enemies her S2 does good against elites.

Zuo Le is a elite/boss killer. His S3 gives him lots of survivavility and good damage, and with his passives he can charge it really really fast. He needs to be at low health to work well though, he's actually bad against normal enemies. Also requires having his module at level 2-3.

Mlynar is definitely a good investment. Nymph too in my opinion if you like to do weird stuff, her S2 is really fun. Zuo Le can wait.

Mlynar should be easy to find in support so I'll put my Nymph and Zuo Le instead if you want to try them.

No need to max Pool Party Justia if just starting out again, her costume is situationally useful (notably Tower of Salvation but Maid Rubia and Rou handle dodge tanking well too, plus PVP if not opening with Blood Glutton Justia). I wouldn't bother with PVP builds though until you are able to clear most PVE content

Yes she is. BD2 designs are simply the best of all the gacha tbh. Nikke designs are good but slightly unsettling at times, with awkward poses and weird breast placement (sometimes starting cleavage from the collarbone)
Rememento actually has some really nice designs too like with Libertas. Hope that game catches on more, would be a shame for it to end despite being fun.
