I mean he's already guranteed 2 good years of the economy because he inherited Biden's economy after Biden had to sit through 4 years of high interest rates to get Trump's inflation down. People gonna forget when shit hits the fan the end of his term like last time because the next president will be the one that has to clean up his mess.

Yes, our well informed electorate at work again. People in this country cannot be bothered to truly learn about any issue, or put any thought into voting beyond their gut feeling.

We as a people are a disappointment, unworthy of good leadership. So many have died and sacrificed to protect our right to vote. We use it to elect a fascist reality show clown. We dont take it seriously.

Unless he really does implement his tariffs immediately and starts rounding up migrants, that'll crash the economy in no time flat.

Well Trump repeatedly said he supported state's rights and the health/etc. exemptions were "very important to" him, so I guess voters perceive that as a moderate/neutral stance compared to the national abortion ban supporters.

And the timing of the overturning further aids his case. Trump is brazenly selfish and does nothing that isn't perceived to benefit him in some way. Yet the court overturned Roe right in the middle of a midterm year that Trump was trying to shove his sidekicks into office during. This event explictly disadvantaged Trump, and since he has no ideological core to speak of that would drive him to sacrifice his personal interests to enact the reform otherwise, one can then surmise that he actually wasn't really an engineer of the decision at all (since it was not timed in a way where it'd be personally helpful to him).

It's a lot like how none of Trump's propaganda about Biden in 2020 worked because everyone knows Joe is authentic to a fault and can't keep a secret if his life depended on it. Accusing Trump of being behind 900 page plans like Project 2025 doesn't hit because the average person knows he's too stupid and unattentive to have even read that shit. The claims don't match the character.

Trump openly bragged he got rid of Roe and I saw numerous ads of what he said, that women who got abortions had to be punished.

For whatever reason we couldn't fight public perception on this issue.

Heritage is behind Project 2025.

Trump is a guileless puppet who will do their bidding for attention, money, power, and not going to prison for his treason and other crimes. He also lives out of spite and revenge, which Heritage and Federalists and all of his sychophants have promised he'll have the authority to exact on his enemies.

The claims of Trump executing Project 2025, in part or in total, are 100% within the scope of his character.

Trump himself is not anti-choice. However, that is fucking irrelevant when he puts anti-choice people in power.

It doesnt matter that hed pursue pro-choice policies if he was surrounded by and seeking validation from pro-choice people. You have to base things based on the actual situation.

Good point, I didn't even consider that possibility since conservatives own the government and he is going to just stack his administration with wet blanket yes men.

But I don't expect trump voters to be paying attention to simple facts like that so "the deep state witch hunts" is still in play.

Their access to Kamala's speeches was in five second sound clips followed by ten minutes of heavily biased, factually incorrect commentary by a bunch of angry conservative anchors on Fox News.

aka they only heard what the media wanted them to hear.

No for sure Trump would implement major parts of it (particularly the ones granting himself more authority), but the Dem. ads were literally calling it "Trump's Project 2025" which just isn't believable and got tuned out. It would've been much more useful to attack Agenda 47, which actually has Trump's public stamp of approval on it and is similarly bad anyway. Instead Dems. let it fly under the radar in favor of focusing on a Heritage document Trump would fall alseep reading.

The cornerstone of Trump is that despite what he says, we really just have to put blind trust he actually does it.

So when he says he wont sign a national abortion ban, we don't know, at all, if that is true.

And Vance would be 100% in favor of one, but he remarked that was his personal belief and he wouldn't govern that way. So we just have to blindly trust

With Harris we know she is not anti abortion, so we don't have to worry if she'd sign a national abortion ban. she clearly would not. there is no hope with that, it just wouldnt happen/

Barrett definitely is, that's her whole thing. The other two may not be, but they're close enough to be indistinguishable; Kavanaugh is a brazenly partisan Republican who's been propagandizing against Dems since the 90s and Gorsuch has been making fascism jokes since high school, they would bandwagon any movement granting the GOP more control.

It makes you wonder about Project 2025. Obviously a guy who worked for Trump in round 1 was the author(Paul Dans) and a huge number of trump people were involved.

But if any other republican(for this context lets just pick one with "normal" personality and "normal" right positions) was elected, does project 2025 exist?

Like, Trump seems religiously ambiguous, so I wonder was this made for him to execute, or any republican to execute?
