The economy has been struggling alot longer than this year due to inflation from covid. The lag of intrest rates effect on the economy begins to show 8 to 12 months later, we are about to see a large stock market correction next year to reset the rate back to 0%.

The federal reserve does not cut rates dramatically by a 100 basis points unless the economy is slowing down which will happen in the 1st half of 2025.

The currency has been devalued from to much money printing they should of raised rates long before 2023. Who ever won the election would of had to deal with this upcoming crisis no matter what and the indicators of a up coming recession have been happening all year with the strikes and mass layoffs across all industries.

2006 and 2007 is repeating now I hope everyone is ready for next year.

Was the porn ban even one of the bigger things of project 2025 anyway? How would they even enact a national porn ban, was a national abortion ban a part of 2025?

It makes you wonder about Project 2025. Obviously a guy who worked for Trump in round 1 was the author(Paul Dans) and a huge number of trump people were involved.

But if any other republican(for this context lets just pick one with "normal" personality and "normal" right positions) was elected, does project 2025 exist?

Like, Trump seems religiously ambiguous, so I wonder was this made for him to execute, or any republican to execute?

Project 2025 is just an amalgamation of what all Christo-fascist right-wing organizations have been working towards since like the late 70s/early 80s. The Heritage Foundation just gets the credit that they do because they compiled it all into one place/had a building for it. These ideas have always existed and regardless of who was in Trump's first term they are still the big monied donors that have been pulling Trump's strings.

This is not just a Trump thing, the majority of the GOP is beholden to Christo-fascist interests because once again, big money, or they're true believers in it like Mike Johnson.

But also, fascism always has an oppressive religious flair to it. They get to escape it because our history either lazily or directly doesn't teach us about it, however Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy had Christianity and subservience to it as a huge part of their society. Italy literally gave out ranks to women for military lapels based off how many babies they produced. And even looking at fascist Middle Eastern states they have an enforced Islamic oppressive rule upon their nations. Fascism always comes with religious oppression and the GOP is a fascist movement.

DeSantis definitely.

Nikki Haley, too. And Ramaswamy (no it doesn't actually matter that he's Hindi, he still caters to a white supremacist Christo-fascist narrative). Tim Scott as well.

Like I said in my post, this isn't just a "Trump" thing, it's a GOP movement. Above all else, it's what their base and big monied donors want, even if they personally don't care for it.

To be fair if it wasn't for this place I wouldn't know a damn thing. Facebook stopped putting political shit in my algorithm ages ago. And that's probably for the better cause I'm not stopping and reading every article that popped up on Facebook so I'd just be left with whatever the headline said sticking in my memory

And I have clicked one and found out the headline vs the article was a bait and switch. Claimed bernie was traveling in extravagant style and hurting the climate. Basically giving repubs a "gotcha" you actually read the article it was nothing but pics of him on public forms of transportation

But that said I decide to not read a article months don't the road I don't remember it at all other than whatever the headline was and knowing I heard that info somewhere.

CE is much preferable to that for learning stuff since it's discussions and if I'm more interested after reading y'all argue some of y'all do post articles.

Heritage is behind Project 2025.

Trump is a guileless puppet who will do their bidding for attention, money, power, and not going to prison for his treason and other crimes. He also lives out of spite and revenge, which Heritage and Federalists and all of his sychophants have promised he'll have the authority to exact on his enemies.

The claims of Trump executing Project 2025, in part or in total, are 100% within the scope of his character.

Important distinction here:

You are thinking about simply whether or not he might do it.
DiceHeist is thinking about whether Trump is intentionally pushing it.

It's entirely possible you are both right - because the reasons you describe in your post, would fit perfectly with DiceHeist's claim that Trump doesn't really know/care (beyond self interest) what the fuck he's doing (and is being manipulated by people who do).

No for sure Trump would implement major parts of it (particularly the ones granting himself more authority), but the Dem. ads were literally calling it "Trump's Project 2025" which just isn't believable and got tuned out. It would've been much more useful to attack Agenda 47, which actually has Trump's public stamp of approval on it and is similarly bad anyway. Instead Dems. let it fly under the radar in favor of focusing on a Heritage document Trump would fall alseep reading.

Yes but how many things does Trump take credit for that he didn't actually do? It's not beyond the realm of possibility that a bunch of conservatives overturned Roe without his input but then he had to try to own it for political reasons.

Dude shut the fuck up

No. I was closer to right about the election than like 80% of the board. The Project 2025 messaging clearly didn't land, regardless of how true it was. Attacking Trump's actual admitted platform would've been more politically productive.

Imagine a bunch of perpetually wrong people thinking anyone but their own selves should shut the fuck up.

No, it wouldn't have, because Agenda 47 is the same but in less words. Literally. All the shit is the same. They will still say, "yeah but he wont do that" to Agenda 47. This shit doesn't matter. They literally already hear his words and say "yeah but he doesn't mean that".

No because he had no platform. His voters did not care.

The only way to win would be to encourage non voters to get out there. I did my part you kept screaming to not talk about project 2025.
