Therefore, at this time, we have decided to take the game offline beginning September 6, 2024, and explore options, including those that will better reach our players. In the past you would just keep pumping money into it to try to get it to stick, but that is impossible now. It's back to the traditional model of large launch with a long tail + seasonal spikes. If you miss the large launch or 1 or 2 of the spikes fail, you'll be canceled. Soon after, studios will stop trying. From the reviews I saw, there were some positives but the negatives greatly outweighed them. Wanglicious 09/03/24 4:07:59 PM #51:	Outlaws just came out but it was kinda doomed from the start and can't help but be a flop. early on it was expected to do 8 mil, then 5, and it just came out so we don't have the hard numbers but initial reporting has something like half of Jedi Survivor at retail. could be a significant increase of digital but both are pretty recent so not sure how much that'll follow. it also has no Steam release and is playable with just an Ubi+ sub for a month so some will just play it there and fuck off. net result, it isn't clear what kind of success we're looking at but Ubisoft already knows it's not gonna go well.
