No let's not ignore that. Just remember that there is no option that leads to ending that genocide. Not in this election cycle.
Picking between genocide or genocide will not motivate unengaged voters. This is simple strategy.

Cool. Because if the turd wins and his choices are "overthrow democracy" or "not overthrow democracy", I'm sure he'll pick "neither" just like you. Oh wait, he already said he'd "only be a dictator for one day"! Because if there's something dictators are known for, it's voluntarily giving up the power once they have it!

How do you think "you have to vote or else Trump will overthrow the democracy where you have to choose between enabling genocide or enabling genocide" sounds to unengaged voters?

I watched both their Georgia speeches yesterday.

Trump has this weird pivot halfway through his ranting where they put on some Hans Zimmerman style soundtrack and he matches his tone to it as if softer sing-song bullshit is easier for his audience to swallow than off beat bullshit. So weird.

Meanwhile Biden's was the cliff notes version of his sotu address which was eh, honestly boring and less effective to see again, but same points got across and he didn't make it weird or Orwellian. Plus picking up the button at the end and reading it out "Regulate Guns not Women" was great to see.

Do you honestly believe that people are protesting America's involvement in Gaza just out of smugness? The idea of people having genuine moral issues with their government facilitating the bombing thousands of children is something outright unbelievable to you?

I believe it's a false dilemma to suggest that Biden unconditionally sending weapons to Israel and Trump winning the election are the only options.

There are many steps that Biden can take to use his leverage to deescalate the situation. And considering the sheer amount of death and suffering, I think it's worth pushing for.

I've seen no evidence whatsoever that continuing to send weapons is an absolute necessity in order for him to win the election. If you cannot prove that, any amount of 'but what would Trump do' is meaningless and serves only as a disingenuous way to silence criticism.

Thanks, Captain Obvious. Thats some real insight there. The displacement of millions because their government committed a massacre and took hostages, kind of hard to be worse than that.

(And I know I know, the last guy allowed a global pandemic to happen.)

And the knock on Biden isnt just his age now. Its that hed be 86 when his two terms were over, assuming he lives that long. Not to mention, he wants to raise your taxes is you make millions of dollars, and tells you if you are a billionaire that you arent doing enough.

The whole point about the age knock is that it equally applies to Trump.

I just want to find an ACTUAL criticism of Biden as president, not one based around superfluous fluff that isn't really a factor.

As it stands I would vote for him but mostly as a last resort to keep Trump from being president. Ideally I DON'T want him to be president.

Bidens handling of Gaza sucks. Right now our best way to help Palestinians is to vote in a progressive Congress to push Biden on this issue.

Now how does Biden losing result in things being better for Palestinians? Still waiting for this step in the logic to not be skipped over. What about Biden losing can bring about better circumstances?

Palestinian children are starving to death right now. The only power we have over Biden in this critical time is his election going badly.

Democrats will hopefully learn to not take voters for granted. There's also the chance of a Democratic supermajority like after 8 years of George W. Bush.

It probably wouldnt have been a supermajority if the economy didnt crash 50 days before the election.

And youre assuming progressives arent barred from running as Congress now holds the sole responsibility to define insurrection.

And Trump will probably green light the complete annexation of Gaza. A progressive Congress can push Biden sooner. Asking them to eat 4 years of shit so you can roll the dice isnt going to make their lives better.

Involvement not apathy is how you take over a party. We literally just watched it happen on the Republican side.

Straight back to the repeating the false dilemma. Biden taking a stronger stance against the human right violations in Gaza will NOT make him lose the election.

If anything, a case for the opposite can be made: especially young and non-white democrats disapprove of his handling of Gaza so far (aka the part of voters more likely to stay home). Half of dem voters believe Israel is committing genocide. Yet Biden is sending them bombs to help.

Stop pretending that 'Biden must send bombs' or 'Trump wins' are the only options. There is no truth to it.
