I went on tours of death camps that exclusively killed non-Jewish inspaniduals (for instance Soviet POWs). The tour guides mentioned groups that got killed, and that included LGBT inspaniduals. So I don't think it's right to ignore all the non-Jewish people. I didn't even know that was a thing until this topic.
No one is ignoring it. Every victim of the Holocaust is worth remembering. Its just important to point out that at the heart of it all was this idea called the Final Solution, and its goal was the extermination of all Jews everywhere. In the same way that the T4 program sought to eliminate the disabled from German society. Why pointing that out means someone else who was victimized is being ignored, I dont know.
But then again, I continue to underestimate just how far people here are willing to go in order to insult those they disagree with.
