The only thing I don't know because I've never played them is if Monster Hunter has a character that should be on here, since it is their second most profitable series. the closest would be Rathalos but it's not like he's the big bad boss, he's just the dragon that's been in every game, is pushed in every crossover, and is the one they do a lot of merch with. with that said the issue is people outside of the MH fanbase will think "cool dragon" and maybe game of thrones or something, the people newer to MH (e.g., started with World which is a lot of people) will think of way more bosses like any of the elder dragons because you at least farm them a ton/they have more unique designs. personally i can't really put an individual rep over a lot of other stuff Capcom has. Jill Valentine Mega Man Dante Chun-Li Jill because FFD says so and i trust his judgment on RE. also movies, more games. Mega Man because realistically people don't split him up between X, EXE, NT Warrior, or any of that. like even if they know he's different, he's still "Mega Man" and that's about it really. there's a new game every so often, hell there was one just last year technically, even if it was basically the PC release of the gacha game with the monetary aspects removed and it isn't half bad at all. Dante because the DMC series has managed to influence a ton and he himself was so iconic that when Capcom tried to replace him with a self insert edgy boy they got so much shit it was never tried again. only reason i wouldn't include him is because i hate what they did to the current gacha game, even if the theme song is badass. Chun Li over Ryu because the two honestly are fairly close to each other as representatives of the series but she's got a more unique and iconic look to her. when it comes to merch or visibility she's always front and center along with him, it's a clear instance of #1 and #2 but it's not clear which is which. in any conversation of women in video games her name comes up almost instantly, Ryu only comes up in fighting games. she's also better in most games for tournament play last i remembered but i don't know 6 at all; just gotta remember the Daigo parry parry parry was Chun and Ken. she's had way better official merch than he has (the Uniqlo shirt is one of my faves along with Bison) so i'm biased to that end. ultimately i think she's the more visible character, he's the more visible moveset. --- "Maybe it's a tentacle, molesting the planet itself. - Aschen Brodel. <cite>Wanglicious posted [p:978819661] in What four ...
