I've literally seen red admit pointless aspects to his role before and have him sigh and go "ok sure whatever ____ are you happy"

I don't doubt he thinks it's stupid but I don't buy "I ain't claiming shit" as the proper annoyed response here

Y'know, rather than responding with watered-down hostility, I'll give you an answer that you can verify by looking up prior games.
- I don't leave votes on people overnight unless I find them suspicious or serially inactive.
- I tend to vote for someone on a train.
- I am relatively inactive because I have no information to go on to start.
- I don't vote roulette nearly as much as some other people but if someone triggers a gut feeling I will go rabid.

Not many people have hit the gut yet, but considering I consumed a food crime last night and have been suffering for it since, my gut might be off.

I don't know if I'll be able to catch up with an entire topic, but I can at least glean some info from the vote history, I imagine. Let's see...

Lopen's voting all over the place. So that's classic Lopen. I can't remember the last time Lopen was scum, but I feel like he's usually a lot more eager to vote as town more often than not.

I know nothing about FD. Will have to look at his reasons for voting Red. Feels like Red usually flies under the radar most Day 1s, so I'm curious to see why he's currently leading (albeit by only one vote but still).

Isquen is understandably voting for me given that I missed an entire 24+ hours of posts >_>

Ulti is at Sbell's throat again, though it's curious that Sbell didn't retaliate. Aren't those two always at each other every single Day 1? Usually instigated by Ulti but still.

Knowing Lea, I imagine her votes had deliberate intent to them rather than being reactionary. That's completely NAI, but I'm not too worried about her right this moment.

I feel like Wallz or especially Ben would've tossed at least one vote by now (but wait, was Ben even on the original roster? Or did he replace someone?).

From what I've read in this topic, Ulti also claimed. Will have to keep an eye out for that and make a judgment for myself. Seems there's something Ulti refuses to elaborate on regarding his role? I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled a Super Smash Bros. Mafia and completely lied about his role as a townie. But I'm also just saying that without having seen the claim myself.

Ive suddenly figured out the true reason Lea wanted to play in this game!

Also, Im first post claiming under Miller logic. I am Ned Flanders, Town Naive Neighbor. I visit people, and try talking to them, but they dont receive any PMs. Something something no one likes me or cares I exist.

Town can waste nights proving this if they want, or you can actually look for scum. Have fun and Ill see you day 2.

Town Ulti. I don't think scum Ulti is so bold as to claim immediately with his first post of the game, especially with such a useless role that'd instantly get him hounded by the likes of Lopen.

Lopen's vote on JC absolutely feels like a town Lopen moment.

I had the same question. Though I think JC's had moments of claiming just to get out of a corner as town. Might be wrong there. I'd say it's the shakiest claim thus far, but with so many claims already here in Day 1, I'm not too keen on pushing it further.

This is the weakest argument against Ulti. I can confirm my flavor is definitely among the ones used in Sultan's last Simpsons game, assuming that list is accurate.

On the topic of Ben, he makes an excellent point about Death, FD, and Lopen all agreeing about the role PM nuance. Ben's a wildcard, but I don't think he makes that kind of solid defense as scum. Way too risky to instantly clear three people as town for no real self-benefit. And given that he's locked out from mafia during the work day, I can overlook his lack of vote.

Literally no reason not to answer. You are either one of those 16 characters, or you aren't. Even if you legitimately actually are, saying 'yes' doesn't put a target on your back, there's some shit flavors in that list that wouldn't draw a target from scum. And if you aren't even more of a reason, there are hundreds of prospective simpsons flavors, and apparently NON simpsons flavors are even an option too if Sbell is to be believed.

I know being stubborn is part if your branding as a human being, but for once just lighten up.

And now we get to the FD vote on Red, which imo is 100% justified. I had the same reaction to Red's response. Coupled with Ben's defense, FD is looking really good.

I'm somewhat caught up now. I definitely skipped a good chunk of posts from Day 1, so I won't say I have an immaculate knowledge of everything I missed, but I think I caught most of the major points.

To that effect, while I don't like Red's reaction to the "are you on the last game's flavor or not" thing... is it really that important? I feel like of all the things to put pressure on someone for, flavor meta on Day 1 is... probably not it.

Now, I will say that the two people who failed to make much of an impression on me were Wallz and Chang. Maybe I skipped over too many of their posts by accident, but I'm not quite sure what their contributions to Day 1 were.

I'd say it neither scum confirms nor town clears anyone who locked themselves in as a repeat flavor.

I'd still like to get an answer from the rest though. No one should fear committing to the category the actually belong to.

You added death as a third but I actually did take care to exclude death from my town clears. So do you see death as more confirmed town than I do?

Wasn't your whole argument about how FD and Lopen had something in their role PMs that matched a similar quirk with Death's role? If Death isn't town, then your whole argument for FD and Lopen also being town completely turns to shambles, at least if I'm understanding it correctly.

Ben, I'm pretty sure we're on the same side here.

*rereads your argument* Oh, I see your point against Death. Fair enough, but I feel like that argument could be made against any of those three. I'm more inclined to believe that those three are all Town and that you and I are also Town.

I forgot something important. Looking back again at reactions to Ben's post about FD and Lopen...

Chang reaffirmed Ben's analysis as strong, thus solidfying FD and Lopen (at the very least) as town. Therefore, by the theorem of "scum wouldn't hard townclear a group of players", Chang is also town in my books.

Lea addressed Ben's post, too, but didn't acknowledge the part about FD and Lopen, instead taking umbrage at Ben's townclear of JC. I don't like that. It's very difficult to quote that post and not say anything about the Death/FD/Lopen analysis when 90% of the post was that argument. At the very least, I'd imagine Lea would have something to say about Ben, be it in favor or against him, but I don't think she ever stated her impression of Ben this game.

But the main thing I wanted to say is that I lean town on Chang now. Lea's a tough person to read, so it's difficult to accurately assess her, but that was something I felt worth mentioning while I scrolled back to see who was the person who agreed with Ben.

Also stuck at work for now. My workplace does not block access to gamefaqs, but I get Bens pain.

I do like Bens townconfirming players right out of the gate and I agree with his assessment.

My last thought before I went to sleep was 'oh FD is probably town because he noticed the vanilla claim quirk'.
Plus I already thought Lopen was town anyway.

I am not as excited about Kirby's contribution. While what he says about Ben/Lopen/FD is fair, his argument to call Changmas is less strong and him then trying to add himself to the end of that sequence makes him look like someone wanting to take advantage of the 'townreads' going on.

Meanwhile I cant tell the difference between a truly stubborn Red and a scumred who is faking it. But he claimed Vig so he should resolve eventually.
Even if that means he will end up shooting me. (which I suppose is better than him shooting townpower by accident)
