Rules:
  1. Rate each character on a scale from 1 to 10 with 1 being the lowest, and 10 being the highest. Anything above 10 gets rounded down to a 10, and anything below a 1 gets rounded up to a 1.
  2. Anything beyond the ten's place will be rounded accordingly: .04 or lower gets rounded down to .0 and .05 or higher gets rounded up to .1
  3. You don't have to rate every character. You can skip any that you don't know or don't feel like rating.
  4. "Character" is defined loosely, but priority will be given to playable characters and major villains. Depending on participation/demand, this may be expanded.
  5. If you miss a topic or topic(s) you can still rate characters from previous topics. Just please try to keep them in the order I have them in the spreadsheet. It makes my life a lot easier.
  6. Feel free to nominate characters you'd like to see done next. There's no guarantee they'll be next, but they might receive higher priority.
  7. Please make it clear which characters you are giving each rating.

Punchy party! For as much as I like monks, this lot is... meh. Sabin has the same problem as every 6'er in that they're one note and then #whocares.

Yang was one of the only fake sacrifices in 4 that was a giant "wtf how" but then you see he and his wife are into... "knifeplay" and violence-as-alarm-clock and Jesus christ how did this come out in the 90s. He's REALLY GOOD in combat though and in Advance I dump Edge for him as quickly ad possible if I'm trying to speed to the end. After Years is unchanging, and even then, his daughter Ursula doubles up on the powerhouse fun (with bonus points to her for not being one of the failure-ass new characters like Harley, Calca, Brina, Ceodore, and the Eblan 4)

Lyse... maybe something got lost in translation. Yes, she's mimicking her sister Yda's appearance, but the only one who doesn't know it is your player character. Lyse gets "better" during Stormblood when the mask comes off, but she's still a headstrong airhead, and it gets a lot of people in Gyr Abania killed until she goes to Othard and chills out to bit. +1 bonus point for booting a Namazu into low orbit (they deserve it) but I prefer my kooky brutes a little more cerebral.

Sabin is awesome. He suplexes a freaking train! One of my favorite FFVI characters, without the baggage of Edward.

Yang is pretty great too. His kick ability is pretty sweet. And his story with Sheila is fantastic.

Yda is okay. She was one of the first major characters I met in FFXIV cause I started as an Archer.

Yda's one of the funniest FFXIV characters. She's always there doing something silly when other people are having serious conversations, working out like a maniac, and her blindfold design is great... then Stormblood comes around, and they turn her into a super boring serious character. Nothing about Lyse is interesting.

He has some great moments. The Vargas fight is great so is holding up the falling building. I love Blitz as a mechanic too. His personality is kinda unique for FF-- a little upbeat without being a perky girl or obnoxious. Big fan.

Yang - 7.5
I kinda love the pure absurdity of his sacrifice. He has a lot of good stuff really when he does stuff. I think with more time he could be a top character but he is just sorta hanging around spectating for most of the time he's in the party which hurts him.
