If that F Zero leak is real it's making me doubt if Nintendo will even release a new system next year. Why would you throw so many games at the Switch when it only has a year left as the main platform.

Remember that Nintendo Direct with all the GBA throwbacks like WarioWare and Advance Wars? Let's have a GameCube Direct with Metroid Prime and F-Zero. Please and thanks Nintendo

People should take another look at that F-Zero leak before getting their hopes up too high. (Likely a F-Zero 99 style game)

If they didn't do it during the special Mario direct I doubt they'd do it now.

I do wonder when that Mario & DK games that the Oddysey team has been making will show up

I'm still assuming it's Switch 2, but maybe it's still just Switch to fill the gap before that console comes out

Mario movie was huge this year. I could see more Mario games coming to capitalize on that.

They can just re-release it a couple years later as a definitive edition, or hell, just release both versions at the same time. We're three years into the PS5's launch, and nearly every PS5 game is still launching alongside a PS4 version.

I know the source of this one is fairly reputable, but F-Zero 99 sounds as fake as Star Fox Grand Prix did when I first heard it

Let's be honest, F-Zero fans are at the point where they'd be happy with an economic simulator game in the same universe.

If I have one wish for something that hasn't been announced yet, it would be a port of the FF Tactics Advance games.

If nothing else, Level-5 has a panel at TGS.

I might be at the gym or sorting out stuff with my car and have to check it out later but I'll try to catch it live.

I don't think it's copoim to expect FE4R and I still wouldn't think that next time if they didn't show it this time.

FE isn't a franchise Nintendo feels the need to have a long tail buildup for. They'll probably announce it like 6 months before release.

Nintendo normally does ramp down pretty hard, but why would you not keep selling games til the very end for one of the most successful systems of all time? It'll be interesting to see how Nintendo approaches next gen. If the system is backwards compatible (don't be idiots Nintendo, do it), I can see a lot of games getting Switch 1 and 2 releases. Jump on that cross gen train...that we're all waiting for to die still on the more powerful consoles.

Wii U, Wii, 3DS, DS, GBA were all backwards compatible and Nintendo didn't do any cross-gen games for any of them. I could see them trying it here, yeah, but I don't think backwards compatibility would be the reason.

Yeah it would be for sales because the Switch is such a monster and Nintendo might want to keep milking that money. I guess I just figured it would be easier to justify if it's backwards compatible...but also that kind of doesn't make any sense now that I think about it! Like everyone with Switch 2 would buy the Switch 2 version. It would just be a money thing because the Switch has sold gangbusters.

At the very least, I can see them doing it for first party games for a little while. And if Prime 4 isn't at this Direct, I'd bet good money it's cross gen. Would be a perfect fit for more powerful hardware, since the Prime series was always such a graphical showpiece.

Or 120 FPS for God of War: Ragnarok! Hopefully they'd continue the trend of performance and graphical modes and still hit 60...no one wants a 30 FPS performance mode (except me, I can hardly tell the difference usually).

I have no hopes for this direct except expectations of disappointment.

Twilight Princess was a cross-gen Wii game. Im sure there are other examples.

Breath of the Wild was also on the Wii U too, even though it was rather pointless to do so because of how poorly the Wii U sold.

At least there the Switch was not backwards compatible, however the Wii was so it did happen once.

I bet NSO gets at least one of DK 94 and/or March of the Minis
