Hacking, doxing, data breach, illegal streaming and downloads, along that sort of line.

These can be very different.

When listing them as examples, I meant in a way where it could be considered illegal or at least situation-ally illegal.

Drugs and Sex are two of the biggest categories that have received the most loosening of criminality in the past 100 years, as people become more progressive. If this poll was up 50 years ago, people would be making comments like you just made. Things that seemed not ok back then, are considered fine now as we understand more and more about people. There are obviously things that are terrible in those categories too, but most of these categories are very broad.

But murder is literally an option here and people voted for that....so.

BUT I guess most voters assumed it was only covering stuff like raping or harassing another adult.

It might be relevant for some people. We are thankfully well past the eras of criminalizing interracial or same sex relationships, but there are still many people who are effected with things like abortion or gender transitioning, who are having a hard time dealing with laws and having their life style criminalized for various reasons. That could easily have been the first thing that popped into someone's head, especially with the "offenses" wording. I don't think someone voting something in a silly poll means they are approving of all the worst things in the category. We could easily just add the word "child" to the front of every poll option (child murder, child abuse, child theft, child trespassing, child drugs, etc) to make them all become the worst thing in the world, and therefore voting any of them means you support the worst possible outcome. On the contrary, you could say someone not voting sexual offenses means they don't support people having a choice over their body in terms of abortions and the like, which would be an outrageous claim.

All of the categories have irredeemable extremes. I few of the categories have value. That's my guess for how people might vote it anyway.

Voted drugs, all of which should already be legal anyway. Its a victimless crime and causes far too many BS prison sentences.
