As a single man, I would feel kind of odd going to a place where it is nothing but kids if I wasn't accompanying any kids there. Anyone who is comfortable with it should probably think about WHY they are.

Because I like going to zoos when I go to a new town to see what exhibits they have? Particularly if I brought my zoom lens camera.

Granted no one ever stopped me from going into one but it's definitely not targeting someone like me.

Somewhat related... I was taking my kid to the playground the other day and it was completely empty except for one dude just sitting on the bench at the playground reading. I understand it was empty when I got there but there were also tons of places to sit that weren't right at the playground so that just seemed sus and we left. Seems like a good rule of thumb to not sit at a playground if you're a single dude though

Maybe he sat in the least shady spot to be visible and show that he wasn't a threat rather than lurk in the most remote and shadowy part of the park to read where he belongs.

Might've just been convenient. Maybe he was meeting friends who had kids. At the end of the day, it's just an assumption.

100% agree.

The problem isn't single men, it's adults (of any given gender) without kids wanting to go somewhere that is mainly kid-centric. There are way too many pedos of any given gender or pronoun choice who would view that sort of thing as a smorgasbord. Or an opportunity.

I don't have kids (and never will), and I'm perfectly fine with places like Legoland or Chuck E. Cheese not wanting me there. But limiting it to just men is only solving half the problem.

I do too, but my zoo has a "happy hour" where adults can go to the zoo. It is actually a really great time to go because it is at night when most of the animals are actually the most active. They also serve alcohol during that time if you are into that kind of thing.

Kinda cringe to think that adults should only go to the zoo at night.

It makes it sound like you have something to hide if you think adults can't be in the same space as children without causing issues.

Most people also prefer to go out and do things during the day with the free time, not wait until night time because they can't be trusted around children like some kind of predator.

You think the only reason a man can be in the same area as kids, even for something like a ZOO where you're there to see animals, is to be a child predator. Just take your L and move on instead of really digging in to this child predator bit.

It is an interesting jump in logic to go from "have some self reflection" to "you are a child predator". You might want to consider the self reflection that I am talking about if you immediately think that is what I was saying.

Are zoos even open at night? The one closest to where I live closes at like 5 or something, then all the zookeepers go eat Chinese food
