Democrats have some corruption but a lot of good meaning people within the party that could do good if we had a functional government. Republicans have no good meaning people within the party and are actively trying to destroy the country.

I'm personally more infuriated by my party because we're supposed to be the good guys, but our leaders don't do shit to actually serve us. None of the actual good people within our party will accomplish anything because both our party and the opposition doesn't want them to. Look at what they fucking did to Bernie.

They're more interested in creating programs that funnel our tax dollars into the pockets of everyone but the people they're intended to help. The amount of institutions that were created for the people that have turned into government funded corporate profit factories is ridiculous.

Just a bunch of fucking wolves in sheep's clothing.

Probably an eight. Just from an actual local experience this senator who was caught for insider trader still won an election over this plucky newcomer. This guy was literally being investigated and he still won freaking trolololol

I voted 10, but really its a 9 since Bernie was allowed to run at all so its not a complete 10 yet

This topic is clearly referring to politics at the federal level. Hows everyones experiences at the state or local level? Sometimes it can be better.

Same with big business. Your local manager is probably just as critical of the rich fucks at the top as you are, and as long as your own workplace is pleasant, thats what really matters. Ive worked for big business before and the top 1% didnt bother me, because my immediate colleagues were all cool.

Well, it happened. Nowadays nothing is off the table. Nothing is surprising anymore. Reality has gone far beyond the realm of satire.

100 percent on the Republican side. About 20 percent on the democrat.

This is my last post here. I think everything was a mess before but eh I think living in a reality when Hillary won would be interesting. I am sure a lot of things would suck still but wow Trump was just not the right person at that time.

idk, it isn't good . But isn't it better than most countries around the world?

I dont know if corrupt is really the right word but there are a lot of influences on politics that arent necessarily appropriate or widely known.

Sometimes I wish I could explain more about my current job because of how involved in politics it has become. Its not something I wanted to go into but Im in it. I regularly work with and interact with pretty well known lobbyists, operatives and politicians and around issues that make state and national news. How some of it comes together is really amazing.

One is clearly better than the other but both are under complete control of capital and definitionally corrupt.

Monied interest enjoys the Overton window being "complete insanity vs not that" as opposed to "developed country healthcare reform."

On topic, 9/10. Virtually every Republican is paid for and about 80% of the Dems are also paid for. Most of the Democratic donors are less openly malicious, but they're absolutely the reason the Dems don't run on some super basic and popular policies.
